The breakfast spread was nice.

Elevator was broken the whole time and the ice machine on our floor was removed. Our room was on the top floor. They only offered 1 free night, but not on blackout dates, due to the inconvenience.

Cortland Holiday Inn Express DON'T BOOK HERE. My son and his team had a baseball Tournament in Cortland NY Saturday the 5th (original check in) and Sunday the 6th. My son fell ill on the 4th of July; I called the same day. I called to cancel my booking with the hotel directly since I booked DIRECTLY from their website link. I was told they use only a 3rd party RESERVATION DESK and could not help me. After two calls to reservation desk, I was told they cannot cancel the hotel booking with hotel. So, the hotel would not talk to me and the 3rd party who they book their rooms through was absolutely no help. The remainder of the team that did stay mentioned the hotel was EMPTY. It's not like my booking held up a room that could have otherwise been occupied. So even calling a day ahead of the reservation date, I was denied. NEVER booking at HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS again. Be warned families with children. The lack of customer service was astonishing.
