Parklane Hotel

The hotel is conveniently located close to Pub street and local amenities. Hotel staff were friendly. There were complimentary water, coffee and tea in the rooms. The WiFi was OK. Negatives were my room had no view, were a bit dusty. Furniture, bedding and towels a bit dated, needs an overhaul. Breakfast was average. Hotel OK for a short stay.

Friendly, helpful staff. Pretty good buffet breakfast. Nice room, with frig and complimentary tea and coffee. Power went out 1-2 times, WiFi just so-so, best to complete all time-sensitive online tasks before arriving here. Hotel location just average

Overall we recommend this hotel. The breakfast is nice. The location is great. We walked to the night markets just fine. Plenty of great restaurants very close. Our room was fine although had a smokey smell which they worked on for us while we were out on our check-in day excursion. I tried calling the hotel number 5x prior to arrival to arrange the free airport pickup. The calls wouldn't go through although I make other international calls just fine. I searched for an email address. Couldn't find one. So no free airport pickup. With some persuasion they agreed to take us to the airport for free but then it turned out they had just convinced one of their regular tuk-tuk guys to do it for free. Classic mysterious dealings when traveling. Back to the good stuff: They greeted us with cold OJ on arrival. They held our bags at the front desk on check-in and check-out days. They gave us an extra hour on check-out day. The shower was nice. The staff were super friendly. They arranged to have my laundry done and returned the same day and it turned out perfect. For $3 (US). There are always tuk-tuk guys outside the hotel if you feel like taking one of them. Oh, and the wifi was mostly good for us with just a few slow times. Overall this hotel was just right for us on this trip.

The hotel offers good value for money. It is located close to variety of restaurants and the city centre with more restaurants and bars. Breakfast is included - it wasn't not too big but very nice for me as vegetarian :-). Front desk organized our airport transfer and sight seeing very professionally. We'd return at any time - thanks for a nice stay.

Nice hotel. The room is big and they cleaned up Everyday and gave us water too Everyday until we checked out. The breakfast was nice, you have many choices. The food was delicious even my Son was delighted. The only complain we have is, they don’t have a rug in the toilet. The floor got wet when we take a bath and no rug available to use. They only gave us 1 slipper also. But overall, it’s a good hotel and very comfortable to stay and the staff are very courteous.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and these are the things that I can share: What I like about this hotel. 1. The Service - the staffs are accommodating, helpful, approachable and warm. One of the receptionists which I forgot his name was very helpful. He booked my bus ticket going to Phnom Penh which I paid 15 USD. According to him it's more expensive if you book online because of the additional charge. 2. The Location - you can walk from here going to the Pub Street (approximately 1.1 km) where you can chill out, have some dinner, shop at night market, or take a massage. Tuk Tuk fare from here to Pub Street is 2 USD. 3. Spacious Room - I was traveling alone and my room was pretty big for me. I had one double bed and one single bed. 4. Wifi - it worked well during my entire stay Things I think they should improve: 1. The Over All Cleanliness - I found it not so clean from the beddings, bathroom, towels, and the restaurants. During my first night since I arrived there almost midnight, I found my beddings dirty and smelly. In the morning I left a note to change it, which they did thankfully. 2. Buffet Food - it's always cold every time I had my breakfast.

The check in was quick! The staff were very friendly. I had some issues with my doorknob but they helped me. The hotel was really quiet. You can still get to the major attractions on foot, and not have to take a tuk tuk. Best hospitality in Siem Reap! The breakfast was great.

Well we had a triple room for 3 nights location was good room was clean tidy with tea and coffee and bottled drinking water a/c worked well electric goes off when key removed so could not keep anything on charge all was good electric went off a few times when there so used stairs and breakfast was poor but its cheap to eat out anyway

I booked to stay here 5 nights and this is how my initial introduction to my room went. The hotel staff member shows me in and tells me some basic information and that there is a safe in the room. My initial thought of the room was that it looked spacious and whilst having a dated decor the double bed looked comfy! It’s only when they leave I start to notice some key issues with my room! Firstly I’m struck by the 90s style non flat tv which is like 28 inches wide and double that in depth but it’s no biggy as I don’t really watch tv on holiday! I’ve not long got off the plane so hot and sticky and I was looking forward to a shower, as I pull my t-short over my head I’m looking directly up at the light almost directly above my bed and noticed it is dotted with a shadow of dead insects and other creatures including not so small geckos trapped in the light covering! I don’t know how no one has not cleaned it but I decide to leave it for now and just take the shower I’ve been longing for and when I go in the toilet I can’t see a space for the shower. I see the toilet and the wash basin, I actually look behind the door hoping it will materialise there before I realise......no, it can’t be, it’s above the toilet! I have never been to a place that has had a set up like this and maybe it is the height of efficiency that you can go to the toilet and clean yourself at the same time if you wish but it’s not the world I want to live in just yet! I take my interesting shower and then when I head to the bedroom I decide to close the curtains and realise.....they are burnt?! How did the curtains get burnt? Did the place set on fire and they saved the curtains and decide to repurpose them? Did a guest smoke and set fire to the curtains and not tell anyone?!? It’s clearly noticeable so I am bewildered by all I have witnessed thus far! I lastly go to try to find the safe which becomes like a game of hide and seek and when I give up and ask receptionist they tell me there is no safe in the room only their safe downstairs where I can put things! As you may tell this has not put me in a favourable light for recommending this hotel. With all seriousness the location is good, it’s close enough to walk to pub street if you want. The breakfast wasn’t great and I found the choice pretty limited. The main positives are that the rooms are big and it has decent internet that you can actually watch tv or play a game on but the cleanliness of my room was not great and whilst the price of room is considered cheap I’m convinced if you shopped around a bit more you would find better elsewhere! Maybe I just got unlucky as some other reviews say their rooms came with actual showers. Also to give credit to the hotel staff when I notified them about the dead insects in the light they did clean it two days later.
