Hotel Kimotel

I've been there only for one night some time ago, and this was long enough. I got a room somewhere at the back, and need to go through a corridor with their supplies. There was no TV signal, shower was dirty and some outlets were not fit in the wall anymore. The wifi signal in the room was zero. But some good things : good wifi in the loby, nice breakfast and very friendly woman during breakfast. To expensive for the given quality ! Not for me anymore I didn't eat in the restaurant, but at the end of the road there is a very nice place to eat : "La table du petit Olivier " 10/10 !!

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times in 2018 due to work commitments. The reception staff speak English, the rooms are clean and comfy but there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Business trip. Very simple hotel, do not expect luxury and not much around: some shops and a parking. With a nice restaurant in the hotel, the menu had good choices. The good: not expensive, clean, I found the personnel to be reserved but also friendly. The room was clean, a bottle of water offered. Breakfast is light but ok. The bad: no air conditioning, a train passes just near the hotel (although not during the night. I could sleep well). For me it did the job, just to sleep between two meetings and to have a good dinner.

They put us in a smoking room but gladly changed us when we complained. We were moved to a room that had previously been a smoking room and you could tell that an abundance of air freshner was used. We stayed in this room anyway. Could not get wifi in it and also the room was cold. Asked the front desk about this and was told to just sit in the hallway and use the wifi and sorry about the cold room. The hallway was much warmer. I would never stay here again.

No-nonsense rooms at no-nonsense prices. This first impression is changed considerably when interacting with the staff and especially in the restaurant. They genuinely care about your wishes and needs. My biggest surprise was the restaurant. A varied menu, food cooked at good standards and a staff that cared.

We booked the Kimotel as a result of reviews. We were looking for somewhere between Monet's garden and Palace of Versailles. Yes it's all the things previously written, location not great, railway line not great, small room etc. the owners/staff are however great and nothing seems too much trouble. There is a restaurant with a limited menu. Be aware however that because the majority of their customers are working business travellers they do not open the restaurant on Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights. If only they had told us because Epone was bye-passed when the food industry came to town. There is however a good Indian restaurant about 3 miles away. Just ask at reception.

We found our room to be very small with no space for our luggage bags.The shower/toilet room is functional but also very small. Although there is a railway line at the rear of the property we weren't disturbed by trains during the night. The bed was large and comfortable. We consider this hotel to be OK for a one-night stop.

Rooms are small but spotlessly clean as is the rest of the hotel. Kim the owner and his wife were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Breakfast is a continental cold buffet and is served in a separate room from the dining restaurant. The menu was good in the restaurant and the food was excellent so we ate in both nights. The hotel is located very close to an industrial area with a railway very close - so this hotel is more suited to the business traveller rather than for tourists. Evenso we personally found the location quite good as we were visiting the Palace of Versailles the first day and the Claude Monet Foundation on our way home the next day.

It is a business hotel to start with: good value, nice service! But it is much more than that! it is run by a nice family and we really have the feeling that the owner of the hotel gave us the feeling that he takes care of ourselves personally. so a very positive experience. I wish that all hotel stay is like this and it motivates me to write a detailed rating for a hotel for the first time in my life;)

We booked the place on line prior to our vacation. The reviews on Tripadvisor were valuable. There are few things you need to know about the place. There is no AC and the railways tracks are just behind the motel and you will hear the train go by. It is located in the industrial area and there is nothing to do other than go to bed and move on. Otherwise the reviews are accurate.
