Budget Inn & Suites Colby

Only stayed for an overnight but had a nice experience . Property is a little older and the outside could use a little help. But the staff was friendly, bed was very comfortable and the shower was clean and hot. Breakfast was decent as well. Great value for the price. Would definitely stay again.

Updated Review: As expected, the owner responded to my honest review by deflecting and lying, focusing on a pet fee that was disclosed and paid without issue. The actual problems had nothing to do with my pets, but everything to do with the appalling condition of this property and the way the staff lies to guests. Let's be clear: * The room was filthy (see attached photos of the breakfast area and counters I wiped with a dry napkin -- disgusting). * The microwave, lamps, and TV didn't work. One lamp was temporarily fixed by a staff member who promptly vanished after failing to make the microwave work by heating a piece of pizza for three minutes. When I woke up the next morning, the lamp was out again. * The sink was clogged. No toiletries were provided. * Breakfast was not available during posted hours, and when it finally was, it was practically empty. * I asked to move rooms and was told there were none available -- only to see five clean, empty rooms with working lights visible from the parking lot. Lies. To make matters worse -- the room had spiders. I woke up with a painful, red, swollen bump on my skin that's still bothering me. Considering the filth and visible bugs, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a spider bite from their neglected, dirty property. The front lawn was littered with dog feces -- clearly no one maintaining or managing the grounds responsibly. The owner's response, filled with half-truths and desperate blame-shifting, speaks volumes about how this place is run. The refusal to take accountability and address legitimate concerns is exactly why so many reviews echo the same experience I had. Do yourself a favor -- avoid this dump. To clarify — I disclosed both my dogs at check-in and paid the required fee per pet. The pet fee was never the problem. The issues were: • A filthy, unsanitary room (photos attached) • Non-working appliances (TV, lamps, microwave) • A clogged sink • No toiletries provided • Breakfast not available during posted hours • Visible lies from staff claiming no available rooms while multiple clean, empty rooms were visibly open When I asked for assistance with a non-working microwave, a staff member attempted to microwave a slice of pizza for three minutes (which still didn’t work) and then disappeared. This is the level of service here. On top of that, the grounds were littered with dog feces and the overall condition of the property was unacceptable. The owner’s response only confirms the lack of accountability. Avoid this place. I should have trusted the other bad reviews. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

blood on curtain. this. place is home for some rough people. gross rooms. hole cut in wall between bathroom and main room so that they could share a light. Tacky as hell. You can't go to the bathroom at night and turn the light on.Or else you turn the light on for everyone.

We like this little inn. It’s very convenient and front desk friendly and very nice.
