Hotel La Fonda

The location of the hotel is fantastic, straight out onto the Plaza de Espana. Great views from the Solarium and the breakfast room. Lovely ladies helping with the breakfast in the morning and good standard choice provided. It is styled with old world charm. A/C worked well and comfy bed (although unusual join in bed, perhaps it can be used with different configuration for family?).

I think your stay and what you think overall will very much depend on the room allocated. If we were to return I would understand how to pick a better room and which floor would be needed. It’s clearly still a work in progress on the refurbishment. For example, our room on 1st floor had chip in bath, scuffed paintwork on bathroom woodwork, and damp in corner, which you could smell on entering the room.

The staff were wonderful, they were very helpful, our room was cleaned daily , thank you to Antonia for all her hard work , The hotel is amazing .

I liked everything

Prachtige ligging bij het pleintje waar diverse restaurants liggen. Onlangs gerenoveerd en bedden waren nu van prima kwaliteit. Bij dut hotel heb je wel eigen vervoer nodig. Wij hebben de auto niet geparkeerd bij hotel want kost 15 e per nacht. Er zijn parkeerplaatsen 5 min lopen van hotel ( calle SannMiguel). In hoog seizoen misschien vol.

Wij vonden het ontbijt laat starten( 8.30 uur) Ontbijt is voor 4 sterren sober.
