The staff were incredibly helpful, accommodating, including that my flight arrived at 1:30am and they allowed me early check-in without counting it toward my reservation which began later that day. Staff were also very quick to answer messages before coming. Location is prime on Hamra street, safe for walkers, and was doable for all over central Beirut. Power stayed on so there was never a problem with lights, AC (very strong) and Wi-Fi (decent speeds). This IS an older hotel, that has seen better days, with basic rooms that I consider comfortable for short or long-term stays. Ask for a room in back of the facility. Mine was street-side, lower level, and very noisy at times.

Breakfast is from 8am-10:30am but was rarely fully set-up before 8:30am despite hotel being full and guests immediately emptying anything brought out one thing at a time (including a shortage of silverware). However, the selections available were very nice and would make for an excellent buffet if it ever happened that way. * Most tour pick-ups are 8:30am so plan ahead because you couldn't count on much from breakfast if leaving early. In addition, the hotel only accepts cash, which I knew from checking before arriving, though their listing says they accept Mastercard and American Express.
