The property is about 5 miles from Hexham. It is in a small village with views across the countryside. My bedroom-room 5-was initially very warm, but I managed to open one window and cool the room down. There is no air con. There are plenty of radiators for winter warmth, when the time comes. The bathroom had both a bath and separate shower and was very well decorated. The restaurant served a diverse menu, and appeared to be someone locals come to eat, which is always a good sign. The Jaffa Cake Cheesecake was to die for!

Fabulous peaceful location overlooking the River North Tyne. Great food in the restaurant and very reasonably priced. Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff, good COVID-19 measures in place. Decor a little tired and would benefit from a refresh.

Lovely hotel and restaurant, friendly staff. However, someone at the hotel got the booking date incorrect and had us booked in the following month. If it wasn’t for COVID and the hotel holding back a few rooms so they weren’t at full capacity, we would have been turned away and had to look for a new hotel, through no fault our own. We didn’t get the room we wanted but were happy to have one.

Great place for a peaceful stop and before and after a marathon. Staff, pool and room food were very good. Wi-Fi was at times a little temperamental.

Prettig hotel met een prima sfeer. Goede bar waar je ook nog eens goed(koop) kunt eten. Toen ik er was was het personeel erg vriendelijk en de service snel en correct. Bij gelegenheid staat dit hotel beslist weer op de agenda!

Friendly staff await you. This hotel has them in abundance. The food is excellent and the location is great for touring. Maybe a little overpriced because it is not Five Star but nevertheless, a pleasant experience
