"Gut für eine Zwischenübernachtung"

Ruhige Lage mit ausreichend Parkplätzen. Sehr guter Service und Frühstück. Leider "Rauch Geruch" auf dem nicht Raucher Zimmer. Ausstattung einfach aber ausreichend.

"pris og kvalitet hænger sammen her."

6.0

"Nice and quiet hotel"

8.0

Very nice place...maybe not luxurious, maybe not fancy, but clean and quiet. Good restaurant, good breakfasts. Free wifi and free parking. I definitely will come back soon. Place is worth visiting during the summer time.

"More of a hostel than a hotel, but quite good food and value for money breakfast"

6.0

We booked here so that we could enjoy being beside the water instead of in the city of Szczecin, and just drive in when we were going sightseeing. Not sure it was the right choice. There is no maid service and the helpfulness of the receptionists was very variable (the one with the shaved hair and tattoos spoke the best English but her attitude was off hand). You had to run the water for five minutes to get a warm shower, and the room is not cleaned during your stay. Breakfast was very good, and the dining room, like many yacht clubs, had lovely views over the water - and lots of herons to watch. Unless you want to drive back into town, which is about 5km away, the only place to eat is the restaurant, with menus in Polish and German only. I can recommend the fish soup and the soused herring, but not the fish and spinach pirogi. Limited choice of beer, but very reasonably priced food.

"Good if you're on a budget"

6.0

My wife and I (both 27) stayed here Monday 6 April to Friday 10 April 2015. We paid around £160 for that period for room and breakfast. The room was clean, but there was no maid service during our whole stay, this also meant we had to ask a couple of times for more loo roll :-) Some of the staff speak average English, a lot of them speak none (although they speak German which helps if you know any). Now I believe that for the first 3 days we were the only guests in the hotel, so they left most of the lights off right up until it got dark out (even the lights in the corridor to our room), this was a little annoying but not the end of the world. The restaurant in the hotel is ok, we ate there one evening but the menu is limited and more expensive than going to a restaurant elsewhere. The hotel is quite close to a shipping yard and at night with the bedroom window open, you could hear banging and sirens, now it wasn't too bad for me as I don't mind a bit of noise when sleeping but I can imagine it would bother a lot of people. The thing that did bother me was on the last night the yard was burning or processing something and the smell woke me up, I thought the hotel was on fire lol. The one thing we didn't realise when booking the hotel is how far away it is from the centre, aaaaaand from everything else. There are regular buses running along the main road but we didn't use them, I read online that you buy tickets from newsagents and you pay for a length of time rather than distance, a 15 minute ticket right up to a 24 hour ticket and beyond. The centre of Szczecin is about 4 miles away, which we walked but wished we hadn't (we got a taxi back). In the other direction is Dabie which is only about 2 miles, we also walked there and got a taxi back. I'm not exaggerating when I say that there is nothing close by, no shops, no bars and no restaurants. Dabie is the closest, a couple of restaurants and a Lidl. If we had to stay here again I would definitely budget in car hire. Luckily, taxis are dirt cheap, we paid 15 Zloty from Dabie to the hotel (about £3 with current rates) and 25 Zloty from Szczecin Centrum to the hotel (about £5). When we arrived at the airport in Szczecin we asked at the information desk about transport and were directed to the only bus service that operates from there, it's possible to pre-book but I have no idea how, we were lucky that there was lots of room and paid 15 Zloty each (£3) to get to Dabie and from there we got a taxi to the hotel. Again, I can't stress enough that if we came again we'd hire a car, I highly recommend it. A taxi from the hotel to the airport or vice versa is around 100 Zloty (£20). Food and drink is crazy cheap. We paid on average 50 Zloty (£10) for our meals including beer, example - Two 13" pizzas and three 0,5 litre bottles of beer, 51 Zloty. We also bought some beer in Lidl to take back to the room, 0,5 litre bottles of Budwar were only 2,99 which is around 60p :-) I think that's pretty much all I can share, I may have forgotten things though so feel free to ask and if I can help I will. Happy travelling!

"Good hotel for cheap accomodation"

6.0

Hotel is nothing special. Standard just better then hotel for workers. Reception is nice, hotel is clean and cheap. You can make some negotiations for longer stay. I think it is suitable for budget tourists or just for technicians working periodically in Szczecin.

"DESINFORMATION AND OUTRAGIOUS PRICES"

4.0

At first glance this establishment made a good impression. But disappointment came very soon. We did not use the hotel rooms, as we had our own comfortable bed on our motor boat. However, we used a mooring space in the marina which, as the name says, is part of the hotel. I had booked the mooring berth by phone and was given a price of EUR 16 per day. That sounded competitive compared to the many marinas we have visited in Northern Europe. The general standard of this marina was acceptable with power and water supply available on the pier. We had carefully planned our voyage from the Baltic Sea via the Oder river and canals to Berlin. This included information on the clearance of bridges that we would pass under on the way. There was very little information on the internet about the bridges in Szczecin. Also, we had read that others had faced the same lack of information. I discussed this question with the German speaking harbor master believing that he must know the answers. He declared with a smile on his face: "Tough luck, Sir! The one critical railway bridge that opens for vessels over 3.5 m height is out of operation since 2 years. You cannot get out of Szczecin traveling South with your ship's height of 4 m. The people in charge at Polish Railways do not care to publish anything about the problem nor its solution!" We almost panicked as our alternative route would have meant a detour of 600 km. The following days I inquired with various other people and authorities. Nobody could give me accurate information. Finally, a mechanic assured me that this particular bridge does open on request. He gave me the mobile number to the bridge operator. When we checked out from the marina after 3 days we had to pay double the price that had been quoted. No explanation or apology was given to us. This makes it the most expensive marina we have visited this year. However, in the end we were happy that the bridge opened as promised and we were able to continue our trip as planned.

"Underwhelming."

4.0

There were two twin beds rather than 1 queen. The room smelled funny and there was a large dead spider hanging from the ceiling. There were also almost no usable outlets in the room.
