What a grand building. Fabulous 4 days there. Bed was super comfy. Sheets and towels were first class. The view from the roof top bar was spectacular . Location was perfect.

"Extremely disappointing"

the staff! The building itself and location

The room - very small TV which didn't receive the national channel, ABC, let alone Foxtel or similar, a room not recognising anything of the heritage of the building, but a tired looking modern sort of room, dirty windows, plumbing problems, third floor with no lift, no breakfast, no hotel parking. The hotel contacted me saying that they didn't think the room (which I booked as a suite, another unpleasant surprise to not have one), was unsuitable for us. I contacted Booking.com to try to cancel the booking, but was told that I would still have to pay half the booking cost. The room was not as good as even a three star motel.

Lovely atmosphere in room and hotel. Convenient location in centre of town close to all shops and attractions. Loved the historical feel of the hotel. We ate at the restaurant for dinner that was a good price and a great meal.
