Hotel Villa Casanova

An amazingly beautiful villa! The rooms were exceptional and the property amazing. The owners and staff were awesome. We loved our stay here and would, without a doubt, return!

The property is beautiful and the staff was outstanding. My only issue we reserved well in advance and paid for rooms with balconies. When we arrived we given rooms without balconies and was never explained why or offered any type of compensation. That was very disappointing to me and I plan to follow up with expedia to see what next steps are available to me.

Nicest place we have stayed in Italy. Beautiful rooms. Lovely breakfast with a view. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great value. You do need a car to stay here.

room was very big but close to reception so during the day you can here people talking , The fridge was noisy as well. the room was nice & very clean, very helpfull staff & lovely location, apart from the bulldozer constantly reversing and making a beeping noise in the adjacent property all day long, Plus on the last night of our stay restaurant was overbooked and they mucked up our meal which was a shame but refunded the steak, they also allow dogs at the hotel which we did not realise when booking. Overall our stay was good

This hotel is absolutely stunning! We arrived late in the evening and it was a little intimidation finding the hotel at night, not being able to see our surroundings. But, thankfully GPS took us straight there! We were personally walked to our room which was, by far, the most beautiful room I have ever stayed in! And....it's not a room....it's like your own large suite! The hotel staff, restaurant, grounds, everything was just perfect. I can't recommend this hotel enough...definitely a must-see!

The good the room! 10/10. Beautiful, huge, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was also amazing a huge bath and large shower. If you were just doing one night it would be worth absolutly worth it! Felt very luxurious inside. If you thinking of staying longer... The not so good- other than the room it wasnt ideal. The hotel- did not feel like a hotel at all. It is more like a bnb and you often feel like you are disturbing them when you come through the house to go to your room. There is really only 2 staff who are husband and wife. The location - you are 30 minutes drive from the town. There was a restaurant 10 minute drive and we wanted to get a cab but were told not to as cabs would over charge a minimum £80 each way! Food and drink - hugly over priced. A can of soft drink (fanta or coke) was €4! The most expensive we encountered (twice what we paid in tourist traps). When there are no shops near by its a very expensive drink. We ate lunch one of the days and had a salad (€14) and pasta which was cold. The pool - the pool was ice cold and as it only got sun for part of the day it never went above 12 degrees. We were told it used to be heated but that the owner didnt want to pay for it anymore! Over all the room was 5* but everything else wasn't. If you expect that, and eat on the way, it would be a nice stay for a night.

Stunning hotel, large rooms with all amenities considered. Only comment would be that the bed was too soft. Bathroom simply exceptional with full size tub and a huge shower space (unusual in Italy!). Spectacular views. Easy parking, very peaceful location, 20 min drive from Lucca, 30min drive from Pisa. We will be back!

This Villa is fantastic! Great location, fabulous staff who treat you like part of the family, wonderful food, serene setting off the beaten path. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to experience a slice of Tuscany.
