Beautiful garden, cozy rooms, the old books in the library, the barista from Belgium is very very nice and the breakfast is great

As a solo traveller, I didn’t feel particularly comfortable or welcome. Dining options weren’t really explained at reception, and when I made a reservation for one, the welcome at the restaurant felt a bit awkward, as I was asked if someone else would be joining despite booking for one person. At breakfast, even when many tables were free, I was asked not to sit at certain tables because they were considered too large for one guest, which felt a bit restrictive. I also experienced being asked to move from the lounge sofas due to afternoon tea reservations, which made it feel less relaxing. Additionally, the library area was not as quiet as expected and had more of a tea room atmosphere, which wasn’t ideal for a calm, peaceful space. Been living in the UK for

Very nice room and clean bathroom, good food in the restaurant and nice bar. They were very nice with my dog, offering her a lot of treats. Overall a very nice and well kept place with friendly staff

Great location and wonderful breakfast.

I wish they used the fireplace. I asked about it and they said it makes the reception area too hot. I say crack a window then. I like a warm fire on cold days. That’s kind of why I reserved it based on the reviews.

Found room door open upon check in and again when we return despite locking it earlier which made us uneasy No AC but they provided fan Asked after toothpaste and was told they don’t provide but suggested to walk to teco express at 9pm which was not optimal Asked about extra water since it was the warmest day and told to purchase from bar

The hotel was beautiful and very well maintained.
