"Great location, quaint rooms"

9.0

Breakfast was a nice as it was served, buffet was just cold items, nice selection of hot breakfast items cooked to order, so it was nice and hot when served

Climbing two flights of stairs to the room and not being told ahead of time (no problem, but it would have been nice to know), some of the staff at breakfast were not the friendliness

"It’s a beautiful hotel, very close to the bus stop BUT the pricing is all wrong, it’s not supposed to be £350 a night. I"

7.0

The hotel is very beautiful, has a wonderful garden and the room was very very cute! Very cottage vibes. Restaurant dinner is VERY tasty and the hotel is conveniently near the bus stop!

However, it really isn’t worth £350 a night. £250 at most. They missed a lot of normal details (see below). We felt the customer service could have been A LOT more warmer. 1. The receptionist forgot to tell us that you need to book dinner as it gets busy so we got to the restaurant after a busy day and they said do you have a reservation? (IT WAS PRACTICALLY EMPTY). We said no and then they went back and forth a few times saying we can’t eat there, we have to eat in the bar…. Then they said oh they do have a table and moved us back into the restaurant. The soup was DELICIOUS but then the napkins were all wet. 2. Waiter at the breakfast was quite intense. We’re not demanding lol in our 30s and want a chill time. I asked him for a glass of milk please and he was quite sassy about it and him having to get it. I said I would get it myself, no worries but then he came back and seemed annoyed. I was taken aback as he had asked what would we like, it was strange as we weren’t rude? 3. Marks and dirt on the walls in the walls in our room - strange for £350 a night. I could have cleaned it quickly. It isn’t fair for the price to see marks on the walls. 4. Hairdryer missing the right part - it’s £350 a night, please supply a hairdryer with the right parts 5. For £350 a night, I’m surprised they don’t offer to take your suitcases to your room as there are no lifts. In a normal hotel for a high price of £350 and no lifts, they would offer. I found that strange as it wasn’t £100 a night. We don’t mind but the small detail was strange that it was missed as other less mobile guests would struggle with those stairs carrying suitcases. 6. Water pressure in the shower is so incredibly low. Lovely products but the shower was so weak. They need to sort this one out for £350 a night, a good strong shower makes all the difference. 7.
