"I had a relaxing 3 week stay at Governors Lodge and look forward to my next visit."

8.0

Great, helpful team of people. Situated in beautiful quiet gardens close to town. All restaraunt are great and it has “Baileys” one of the best restaurants on the island. The pool area is private, clean and the pool water is amazing.

"Overall a lovely stay although a little frustrating."

7.0

It was spacious and the surroundings were lovely and all the staff were fabulous. I loved the cabin style property.

The contents were very worn and aged, broken, not functioning properly or damaged. The TV was not able to be used to watch a movie at night as Netflix etc. all required updating. There is no one you can contact after 5:30pm to fix things which is when you often need it most as during the day you’re out.

"Eating In and Out."

9.0

Walking distance to Burnt Pine shops, esp. Mall bakery in mornings. Took muesli & cheeses, bought milk, tomatoes & butter. Ate out for main meals. Worked v.well. 3 great tours: Colleen McCullough home, Kingston convict walk & Progressive dinner. Pinetrees' free Orientation tour was noteworthy.

Confusing hours/closures of restaurants in complex. Be useful to have this printed out in cabin. Totally frustrating efforts online to hire a car! 2 emails to accommodation,no reply. Fluked an available and cheaper new car at Governor's Lodge but conned into paying an extra $15 for more mileage. Never needed over 2 days and my fill up cost $8 for petrol even though I visited all sites and several times.
