Guangzhou Yuwa Hotel

Everything about this hotel is more than good enough for this price that you are paying. But what is most unbearable is the bed. It is hard like rock!!!

There were no major complaints, but the attention to detail was not great. There were broken cabinets and difficulty using the safe, among other small things. The location is a bit out of the way and not as close to the metro as we had hoped based on its location on the map. That said, there were many good restaurants in the neighbourhood and we enjoyed being off the 'tourist' track.

I stayed here for my first visit to China in April 2015, while attending the Canton Fair. What a great hotel, with such an exceptional service. The rooms are very clean and relatively modern. The shuttle bus to and from the fair was very useful. The staff is amazing and speaks fairly good english. The front desk acts more like a concierge than just a typical check-in and check-out stand. They even accompanied me on several occasions to nearby places of business to translate for me and make sure I got what I needed. Special thanks to Eric on the day shift and Anna and Lily on the night shift whom each went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. You guys were fantastic. I will definitely stay at this hotel when I come again. Thanks again.

We chose this hotel after reading very positive reviews on line and were delighted to find them absolutely spot on. I could not over state the friendlyness of the staff from the door man, reception and house keeping. Special mention to Anna on reception who went the extra mile to assist.

I was very disappointed. After seeing the good ratings, I had high hopes. The first room they gave me had a broken door lock that included a cracked wall where someone had obviously kicked in the door. I went back down and told them about the lock. They said it was a Japanese design and I didn't understand how to use it. I told them to go up and look. The restaurant menu is very limited for lunch and dinner options. The breakfast was OK but nothing extraordinary. They did not exchange currency..... This was a large inconvenience. They sent me next door to the Bank of China where the average wait to be helped is 45 minutes to an hour. I went there twice so this is accurate. This is an apartment/hotel combination. MANY, many young kids in the lobby, coming in and out after school. The bar is a not a real bar. Just a location with a few bottles of liquor so they can say they have a bar. There was no sauna as listed.

For the price and the location the best deal ever. I'm a frequent commuter to guangzhou and this was the best stay with such price.
