"The real ski in a Courchevel style"

10.0

A beautiful spot in Courchevel 1850 with a warm crew dedicated to transforming your ski season in nothing but perfect. Facilities include a correct ski room plenty of renewed equipment with a gentle team for a perfect ski in/out exorerience. The restaurant with Michelin Starred Fanny brings good surprises every dinner and a fair breakfast completes the experience. A very fast shuttle service provides easy access to the central area.

"Great value! (a few hiccups)"

8.0

A superbly designed hotel, newly renovated with really comfortable rooms! I'm always a little wary of staying in chalet style hotels that aren't renovated in a modern style and was really pleasantly surprised with the interior finishes. We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite which best of all had two bathrooms and a large sitting room which we just loved. pros: - excellent value for money. We paid apps 600/night including breakfast for fantastic accommodation. We have previously paid 700/night in courchevel at a pretty ok 4* place. - complimentary shuttle service all day, actually its a private chauffeur service all day which is really fantastic. Having stayed at the Badrutts palace in St moritz last year and having paid 30% more it was not fun to have to pay 20 CHF to take a 3 minute taxi to the nearest lift, and so it s wonderful to have a hotel car ready to take you into town so you don't have to slip and slide your way down. - excellent breakfast and also a nice breakfast area with a decent view of the outdoors. We stayed at Chabichou a couple of years ago and it wasn't fun having breakfast in a room without windows. - they have a small kids play area so one would think its a good kids hotel, (but i never saw any kids in there.) - solid concierge who would sort out all our reservations and last minute changes to instructors. cons: - the service. It wasn't genuine hospitality. They never really tried to be genuinely interested in you or your concerns. They did it, they got the job done but not in the way some places make you feel so special, they just did not have that. - spa: tiny pool, which wasn't heated enough in my opinion, and no jacuzzi. that's a bummer. on the plus side you;re in courchevel and there is so much apes ski you may not even miss the spa, but i definitely wished there was a jacuzzi. oh and one horrible incident to report: my brother and his wife had 1000 euros stolen from their room, intact they walked back into the room right after breakfast to see house cleaning in there and their bag was opened. Suspecting something weird my sister in law check her bag to find money missing. The hotel at first would nt accept it and the hotel manager Ms Florence just wasn't accommodating about it, eventually they offered my brother two free nights for next year. They will obviously never return to this hotel, which in my opinion should have given them even one free night but during this stay. Would I go back? At these prices yes because I know exactly what i'll be getting and what i won't. In my opinion it would be a 5 star stay if they just improve their service and warmth, and add a hot tub.

"Best hotel in Courchevel"

10.0

The small boutique hotel is right on the slopes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is very large and had amazing views. The modern decor is just beautiful. I love how you can get a ride into town for shopping or dining any time you want.

"Disappointing and misleading"

4.0

The staff are helpful and the service is good. It’s also extremely helpful to have a ski shop in-house and direct access to the slopes. However, any views of the mountains are extremely limited. We asked for a view and instead are looking out at a concrete wall. When I asked to change they couldn’t. The manager said that bc we are on the 2nd floor, they consider it to have a view(!). There is no lounge w a view either. The pool is remarkably small — ok for a splash but not large enough to swim. They make an effort at style but the drapes are falling off and the hotel is scruffy in parts. It is a 4 star hotel w a 5 star rating. If you want 5 stars there are much nicer ones like Le K2 and Les Airelles. They also advertise a Kids Club here but there is only one activity per day for kids and it is at 5 pm on Sat or Sun only. Their website is misleading on several accounts.

"It is not a hotel, it is a home"

10.0

I have been staying here for the past three years and it is home. It is a ski lodge. It is a home. The service is exceptional from the front desk to the ski shop. You are close enough to town for a short walk, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Courchevel. I will return again next year.

"Top service"

10.0

Spent a long weekend at La Sivoliere. We were overwhelmed by the great service, nice spa and good food. A bit outside the village centre but shuttle bus compensated well for that. Small rooms but lots of nice facilities, not the least the spa. Much reccommended.

"I dont want to write this review as I dont want too many people going there. its too good"

10.0

As I said, I just dont want this place full all the time but thats going to happen anyway it it is just so good. The staff are over friendly, the rooms are beautiful , and they are being redone this year so i am in great anticipation of what is coming up next. The LOVE dogs so we get to bring our 2 furry friends and they get treated just as well as we do. Everyone from the ski room to front desk and concierge to the navette drivers are AMAZING. fidyi and Kiki and we love it here, been coming for 8 years but please readers, go to another hotel so we can always have our room in this hotel!!

"it makes a difference! "

10.0

If you plan to visit Courchevel 1850, you’ll find that it may be one of the best ski resort in the world but also one of the most expensive and if you are not one of the few super rich and wish to be away from show-off lifestyles, this is the place: La Sivoliere Hôtel. Its a small sized 5 stars luxe hotel with about 45 rooms that is very cosy and real! Not for the show off people but for the people who are looking for a nice place to rest to enjoy the ski right outside your door and is also close to the village center with a very attractive alpine style to enjoy eating. The staff is always there to help with nice manners, they all seem to be happy to work there in a discret and efficient way My room (a suite) was very nice but the bathrooms could be improved in size and style (which we heard its planed for this year!) Hotel is well located at the edge of forest pine trees and slopes .at the end you will feel just relax there . The good thing is there are still few authentic places in this amazing ski resort which show some something else aside then tacky. La Sivoliere is one of them. 1850, the restaurant shows how they care for you, in fact it’s the first and may be the only one who serves organic or farm direct food, like wild fishes only etc they try to make something good without racking up the prices. In the other palace hotel the high price seems to be one of the criteria to attract people. The food options at La Sivoliere are simple or more creative, that is up to you to choose which appeals the most to you. One of the great dishes is maki of langoustines, Bresse chicken with truffle or fish in salt crust. In addition to amazing and light desserts . It’s not low cost but compared to the other hotels gourmet menus you’ll feel content and safe, with perhaps the best value in Courchevel. So enjoy it.

"Nice Hotel in a skiing atmosphere"

8.0

Hotel is nice and good positioned. Skiing slopes are not difficult and good for beginners. For good skiers maybe not so challenging. Hotel offers everything so that you can start skiing from the Hotel and do not have to run around in the village. Only bring your skiing clothes or you can buy them there in one of the many designer stores (expensive). Also food in General is expensive but in the excellent French quality.

"Luxury on the piste"

10.0

A last minute decision to have a few days in Courchevel 1850. The standard of service from all staff was faultless. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The restaurant was superb, the bar staff friendly and courteous, the ski hire and ski room excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. You certainly get what you pay for.
