"Great Eco adventure! Medium range resort"

8.0

Beutifull place. Raelly an Eco adventure. Just freeze your look to some direction and you will find an animal (including baby sharks below the rooms:). Exept of that and the good food, there is much to improve. The rooms are old, small windows, noisy A/C and the water at the shower are not hot enough. Most of the staff say yes to everything without understanding what they are talking about.. Quite annoying..

"Most amazing family vacation EVER~"

10.0

Our family stayed for 8 days taking up 2 water-loft cottages this past July. It was the most fun family vacation we've ever had, and we've had many. There was so much to do and so little time. We did repelling, rock climbing, snorkeling, scuba diving 3 times....the house reef was gorgeous, island hopping, hat making, nature walks, swimming in the ocean from the steps that lead directly to our water cottage. In fact, there was plenty of fish, corals and baby tip sharks right at the foot of the steps. There was a couple of days of scattered thunderstorms and we even managed to enjoy that as well with their outdoor (covered) pool table, board games and movies. The best part, we didn't have to worry about a thing, it was all inclusive, room & board (except for scuba diving). The daily spread from breakfast to dinner was always so fresh and there's enough variety that we were never bored. Their home-made Caesar salad dressing was awesome. There's always fresh seafood to choose from and Jeric, the chef can always cook it anyway you like! My kids loved it! We thoroughly enjoyed every part of this trip, from the comfort of the ITI lounge to the colorful bus & singing that greeted us on El Nido. Benjie, our Apulit appointed guide accompanied us from ITI to the island, very knowledgeable and professional. On our last day, we were treated to a special candle-lit dinner, what a marvelous way to send us off~Many thanks to Lyca for making the stay so welcoming and memorable.

"Great Hideaway!!! :)"

8.0

When we arrived the island, the travel time is just all worth it!! We were welcomed by the resorts employees warmly. We were given a welcome drink and a cold towel upon arrival. They carried our luggage for us and a dedicated personnel was assigned to walk us to our room -- you feel VIP. We stayed in room #40 and great view from the veranda!! You see black tip reef sharks swimming there every morning. :) Room is also away from the busy streets so you have the privacy that you need. It is near the water activities area, rock climbing area, pool and around 3 mins walk to the dining place. Only comment I have is the bathroom, for some reason and not sure why! despite opening the bathroom window for almost the full day it continuously stink. :/ drainage problem? I dont know! The beach is soooo beautiful in the morning and early afternoon but is not too pleasant to look at during late afternoon when low tide starts. You will see plenty of rocks in the right side of the beach.

"Exceptional"

10.0

The stay was magical. The staff incredibly nice and attentive. We went during rainy season so the weather was not ideal however, they always made sure we had alternatives to enjoy the island such as rapelling, cave exploration and other activities. We also got our PADI with an excellent dive instructor that introduced us to the wonderful experience. We were sad to leave and will recommend this hotel to everyone we know.

"Loved the place!"

10.0

Bottom line - we would have loved to stay longer, or go back one day. Fine print - it's not a perfect place (never had the chance to be at one), but it's pretty darn close to being so. The location and views are amazing, the staff very friendly, there are many activities, there aren't too many guests around so you always feel you have the beach/reef/pool to yourself, and overall, I think it's worth the price. The most significant problem we've noticed is that some of the food runs out fairly early. I guess most guests ate earlier than we have. But I would expect a place like this, and for what you pay to stay there, for this not to happen. I also expected more things to be included in the price, espexially alcohol (say, a complimentry dring for dinner) and snacks. I've already recommended Apulit to some people, and will do so again. However, if we'll ever be lucky enough to be looking for another resort in the Philippines, I think we'll try another place.

"The Staff make Apulit Island a GREAT resort visit!"

10.0

Erick and his Brother were great from the start at El Nido Airport pick up to the return to ENI and everything in between as Erick was also our guide. Extremely knowledgeable about Apulit and the surrounding islands, Erick also has an extremely developed attitude towards nature above and below the water and the need to sustain it. Erick even went as far as towing a non-swimming member of our group on floatation equipment during a snorkeling adventure and is a genuinely caring and likeable Man, which we were glad to have as our guide! Kim, was everywhere and extremely helpful in assisting me with return arrangements from the resort which I had previously neglected. She is a GREAT Woman who is ready to help a guest with any problem they may have, and a true joy to interact with.. Gwen and Bel were notable in arranging the activities and adventures we encountered on this visit which were amazing! Thank you Ladies! The diving instructor Ting knows his stuff for the below water adventures and I was glad to have him share his wisdom with me for my first diving experiences. Sensei, thank you for the wonders you shared and the lessons given as I can not wait to dive again. The meals are extraordinarily prepared fresh daily by the Chefs on staff and their knowledge of soup preparation is unsurpassed! Also adding to this great dining experience is the likes of Jecka, Dani and ALL of the wait personnel's attentiveness every need! The whole TEAM is enviro conscious and made it joy

"Ecological treasure away from the crowds"

10.0

Definitely a trek to get to Apulit, but well worth the effort. Six hours each way from our layover hotel in Manila, but this helps keeps the crowds at bay. Our family of five shared a single water loft cottage. We felt we had ample space to spread out, and enjoyed being able to snorkel right off the steps of our cottage. Room was clean, AC and hot water always worked. Water activities highlighted the trip. Snorkeling around Apulit is excellent, as is on the nearby islands. Many clown fish, giant clams, corals, schools of fish and more to be seen. Sea kayaks, paddle boat, paddle boards and wind surfing are all easy in the Apulit cove. [Just have to be careful when there is a jelly fish bloom that last a couple days; lots of little stings if you're not careful.] When visiting in April some of activities weren't available due to a prior storm: cliff diving, cave exploring and rappelling. Food is buffet, but you can arrange for special dining-- on the beaches, in a cave or other islands. Buffet food was well varied, always with a selection of local favorites. Two grilling stations with rotating choices add more options to the buffet. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. None will hesitate to stop what he/she is doing and be of assistance; all are smiling and welcoming.

"Surprised"

8.0

We were contacted directly by the hotel and moved to another resort. Upon check in they advised us of further "peak season" charges that were not included on the booking. So neither of those were good. However the resort, facilities, food and service were all outstanding. Definitely going back again

"Paradise Found"

10.0

We loved and enjoyed our stay At Apulit so much. I have a lot of accolades to give the staff and not a lot of time. 1) The arrival was awesome to the island with singing and dancing on a calm sea day 2) I was sick upon arrival from a food borne illness and the on-site nurse Ron helped nurse me back to 100% quickly, he solely made my experience awesome. 3) The staff was great from the activities to the cook staff. The best weight staff was Jaric behind the grill, always personable and ready to help in any way and make your day the greatest. 4) They offer tons of activities inclusive which makes the hotel so awesome, snorkeling, rappelling, climbing, etc. 5) The room we stayed in was amazing, would recommend room 41 and up for great sunset and all around good location away from others. 6) The only real negative was that the staff could clean up towels at night and have them ready in morning. Also, more options for in-room snacks etc. Fix also the hobie cat which would have been fun to go out and sail around on. We love Apulit and it truly was a great way to end our trip to the PI, it will always hold a special place in our heart.
