MDC Cave Hotel Cappadocia

Had a great time. We had only asked for one night at this hotel, but wound up staying there three nights, could have used some air conditioning in the room, but it did cool down at night. The room was absolutely beautiful and the staff was great. Mustafa is the bomb!!! Very friendly people, and very helpful. Good restaurant and live entertainment while you eat (very relaxing). The jacuzzi tub was big enough for two people. A very romantic getaway.

The hotel was good enough to arrange for pick up which was great. I was immediately greeted by Mustafa who welcomed me to the hotel and whisked me to have breakfast. He went out of his way to make sure I got the most out of my two days in urgup. The staff at the hotel were extremely pleasant and courteous. Thanks Mustafa and if I am ever back in urgup, this would be my first choice of where I would want to stay.

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent staff. I travelled with my wife, 2 & 12 year old children and had no issues or worries. Mustafa and his staff did everything possible to make my stay comfortable and memoriable - challengin with a 2 year old!. The staff made all arrangements for the horse-back riding, hot-air balloons, private northern tour, and Turkish night we delighted in while there. According to Mustafa, a pool is in the works which will only enhance the already outstanding facility. If you have doubts about the word "cave" in the title, DON'T! You have all luxuries of home and the combination between old and new is done in good taste. The location is a tad out of the mainstream tourist location but to me that was a positive. We will definately be returning to complete the rest of what Cappadocia has to offer.

Lovely New cave hotel. I was very pleased with the condition and state of our room considering many we saw along the way looked MUCH worse than their write up and photos. This hotel is a good place to see the region's sites. It is NOT located in any of the towns, which some might prefer, but we found it entirely restful and calming after a long day of sightseeing and being tourists. It was so very nice to come back to the MDC welcome. Staff is friendly and eager to help however you might need it. Good people, Good hotel, nice place to stay. I would stay there again, I would recomend it and we really enjoyed our time in Cappadokia mainly due to the fact that we had a really nice, comfortable place to call home while visiting this region.

Great stay at MDC, the room was very comfortable and spacious... the hotel staff was very helpful (specially the Hotel Manager - Mustafa) and helped us arrange all tours on a discount from the vendors. The only problem is that the hotel has nothing around it (that is probably true for all hotels in this area), so if you are looking to relax in the comfort of your room and go out for an occasional trip to tour the city, then this is an ideal place for you to stay!!

My husband and I stayed at MDC Hotel for 3 days. The staff were extremely friendly and did their jobs very well. Our room was very comfortable, clean and nice. It was beautifully decorated. Modern yet authentic. We were very pleased to have chosen to stay at MDC. We will definitely recommend it to our friends and anyone interested in visiting Cappadocia.

Everything spectacular: location, rooms, service, food...great experience!

The basic facilities are fine - everything is new and shiny. The staff mean well and clearly want you to enjoy yourself. The breakfast is, indeed, solid as the other reviews point out. But all of the little touches that make a nice hotel truly great are lacking. There are many examples, but here are a few: few staff speak a second language (we speak English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and a few others - we would've been fine with any of these), and they seemed thrown off by pretty basic questions; wake-up calls were late; you can't make outgoing phone calls from your room; the TV is about 5 meters from the nearest place to sit, which basically renders the TV useless; the shower floods the bathroom floor every time you use it; etc. Each of these things isn't consequential, but the sum of them is - it meant that we were uncomfortable the whole time. This wasn't what we'd expected - we saw that it was a new, fancy-ish cave hotel and had higher expectations. In retrospect, maybe that was unreasonable, but it does mean that I wouldn't recommend this hotel to others looking for a luxurious experience. (To be honest, luxury didn't seem to be a feature of Cappadocia.)

A lovely hotel. Staff were very attentive. Accommodation was amazing. Only complaint would be that the drinks were expensive, but possibly to be expected in this standard of hotel.

Beautiful new hotel with friendly and enthusiastic staff. We felt very taken care of. Room was gorgeous and very clean (and all this in an ancient cave!!) Such a great stay. Highly recommended. Staff will make reservations, book tours, basically anything and everything you could think of. Location about a 15 minute walk from center of town, but not up a huge hill like some of the other hotels. It's a little more off on it's own which made it seem even more magical and very relaxing.
