Tramonto d'Oro

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was an absolute DREAM! Unbelievable views, delicious breakfast buffet, and the friendliest, most helpful staff that felt like our friends by the end of our stay. Walking distance to beach and One Fire Beach Club, amazing restaurants everywhere, and a quick 10 minute water taxi ride (or 15-20 minute bus ride) to beautiful Positano. More affordable than staying most places in Positano and definitely less crowded, but so easy to get there when we wanted to, which we loved! We’ve been back for a couple weeks and we’re already talking about how we miss it and want to go back!!! Cannot recommend this place enough!

Praiano is not for everyone, as you need to walk on the road with cars buzzing by to walk anywhere. The restaurant is beautiful and the views are fabulous, but we had some mechanical noise from the air conditioner fan (it wasn't loud but it was annoying enough that we couldn't sleep). They said they had fixed it but they didn't fix it, so we complained and they finally moved us to another room. It was a bit like pulling teeth to get them to do that and they weren't nice about it. They did waive the cost of our lunch and dinner, which was a nice gesture, but I still fault them for not properly addressing the noise in the first instance. Overall, the property is dated in certain areas, but if you want to stay in Praiano and you can make sure that you have a quiet, nice room, the views and the restaurant are quite nice.

I loved this hotel the views is amazing and it's right down the street from the bus that takes throughout the Amalfi coast the food at the hotel was great the dinner fish w is engraved in my taste bugs as the staff gives great recommendations

We stayed at Tramonto D’Oro for 6 nights and it was simply unforgettable! Our room was gorgeous, with a breathtaking sea view — honestly, the best choice we could have made on the Amalfi Coast. The hotel is in Praiano (perfectly located between Amalfi and Positano), and everywhere you turn, you see the sea. It has a beautiful rooftop, and the pool is just perfect — spacious, deep (2m), and overlooking the coast. The food and service were excellent, both at the rooftop bar and at the main restaurant. Speaking of the restaurant — the view is absolutely stunning! From the hotel, you can even walk down to the beach. On the way, there’s a charming little bar where you can stop for a drink with a view. The location is also very convenient — pharmacy, shops, tabacchi, and other great restaurants with amazing service are all close by. Worth mentioning is the private parking which is included and is located on the hotel premises. The reception staff were incredible. Roberta, Luigi, and Antonella were sooo kind and always ready to help with anything — from tips on what to do on the coast, to booking taxi boats, making restaurant reservations, and recommending the best places to eat and spend quality time. The owner, a lovely lady, was always present, greeting every guest with a warm smile and making sure we were happy and comfortable. That personal touch really made a difference. And the sunsets… wow. The most beautiful ones we’ve ever seen, right from Tramonto D’Oro. 🌅 We are 100% coming back!

This is the best hotel on the Amalfi Coast!!! Everything about the stay was lovely. Our room was spacious and clean, the pool and views were unbelievable and the staff was awesome. We will be back.

If you were to pick a place away from the touristy locations like Positano and Amalfi, Praiano is the perfect halfway point. The hotel was perfect. Timeless in drawing you in to the nostalgia of what one imagines the Amalfi Coast to be. Our room, was one of the renovated rooms with a beautiful view looking out at Positano and the evening sunsets. The church next door, San Gennaro was a treat and a beautiful back drop on the restaurant’s veranda! They can also make arrangements for a shuttle to take you to a scooter shop which was a great way to travel to Amalfi and Positano for the day. This hotel was recommended by a friend and I would highly, highly recommended others to go there! Also what makes this place special is being family run. The next generation continues to joyfully make your time with them very special. Amazing!

The hotel had an spectacular view that one could appreciate in the restaurants and at the pool. The pool had a nice size even for laps. Also, it is not crowded at all. Parking from the hotel is a major plus. Food was really good too. If you want to sleep late that can be an issue, there is a church nearby with bells reporting each hour and we acho half hour in the morning. I had earplugs that helped, but did not completely suppress the noise

Amazing property, the view from the balconies out towards Positano is unrivaled. Staff was excellent and super helpful, rooms were bright and clean, views stunning. Couldn’t ask for more.

Absolutely loved our stay but the rooms were still quite expensive for being in Praiano and away from Positano/Amalfi and requiring bus/taxi to get to those places. There isn’t a ton to do in Praiano so you need to get to the other points in the coast.
