Trails West Motel

First impression was the hotel clerk walking to the front counter in a greasy shirt, shorts and dirty appearance. I was very tempted to walk away less the cost of the hotel booked through expedia and go somewhere else. While the lobby building is new, the hotel itself is rundown and in need of maintenance. The walls were filthy. The tall lamp was coated with dirt. The air smelled of heavy air freshener trying to mask other smells. There was a 3" hole above the AC unit that went through the wall and could be seen from the outside. The thought of getting under the sheets were scary. My son and I stay on top of the sheets but under the blanket. I will never stay at this hotel again. When it is stated in the hotel rules that the hotel is not responsible for bites, take WARNING! Make no mistake, this is a rent by the hour hotel with free adult movies. Thankfully, it was only for one night. My son and I celebrated when we left the hotel the next morning! If negative ratings could be available, it would be a -2 out of 5! Do not let the online photos deceive you.

The motel is very old and the air cond is mounted in the wall and very noisy. Few towels in the room. If I had to sleep in the car next time or this place I would take the car
