Hastings House Country House Hotel

Gorgeous setting. 20ish acres on the water with lots of adorable cottages, gardens, animals, and friendly staff. And good food! We loved the fresh muffins delivered to the room each morning.

We stayed in the Meadow room. Super cute snd private 2 bedroom suite with a garden view. The room was last remodeled 23 years ago and the mattress on the bed by the tv has sort of sinkhole on one side, sort of like sleeping in a bean bag chair. We still really liked it, but its time for a new mattress.

We had outstanding breakfasts which we ate on the patio overlooking the harbor. We stayed in the Manor East room which included a large bedroom, as well as a separate living room that overlooked the harbor. Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Warm muffins were delivered to the room every morning. All the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. A five star resort. One note: There are a lot of stairs between the parking area at the top of the hill, and the restaurant/Manor. This resort would not be appropriate for someone who can not go up and down fairly steep stairs. We loved it here!!

the location is excellent with views of the harbor. The Staff if very good and accommodating.

The facilities need a "refresh" and capital infusion. new carpets and furniture in the room. Our bathroom shower was not up to Relais standards. the food was okay but not great. overall, if Wickaninnish Inn is a 10, Hastings House is a 6.

The Staff and Managment went our of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The included breakfast was amazing and muffins to your room are a nice touch. I liked it so much I stayed another night!

Very quaint and picturesque. Wonderful grounds and out-buildings. Setting is spectacular.

The property is beautiful, the rooms spacious, and the team that run the property were the kindest most helpful people. They were extremely accommodating and helped us in a pinch (when we were running late to a wedding).

It's really beautiful and classy. The room is cozy with a fireplace and the dining service is excellent.

We experienced a mix bag. The waitstaff was excellent, the food was very good. The condition of the building was rough in areas. The view out one window of our room was of the water--beautiful! Out another window was a roof repair that had been half-completed and all the construction debris left. The exterior of the building was needing TLC as were the gardens. The check in staff was lacking in training as was the spa staff.
