Hotel Villa Tirreno

La decoración muy bonita. El desayuno estaba muy bien, las camas también. Se pudo aparcar fácilmente.

La habitación estaba en teoría adaptada a silla de ruedas, pero el baño no lo era. Afortunadamente llevábamos una silla de ruedas súper estrecha (48 cm) en el coche, porque si no, la taza de baño sería inalcanzable. La ducha no er ni posible entrar con aquella silla.

The staff were very helpful. They set up transportation from the airport to the hotel, then from the hotel to the cruise port. There is a bus stop right by the hotel, and the bus is what you need to get around the area. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a huge balcony. My sister-in-law said her bed was too hard for her, but my bed was fine for me, so to each his own. We enjoyed their breakfast and coffee bar in the morning and their on site restaurant for dinner.

Very convenient location. Really lovely hotel with all amenities. Our room was very spacious and had a lovely bathroom. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Large private balcony. Breakfast was good and the restaurant attached was really excellent for dinner. Very good WiFi and plenty of private car parking space. Reception staff were very good and helpful.

My only complaint was that the room was too warm. It was 26.5 degrees Celsius and we couldn’t turn it down. I went to reception to ask for help. They advised me that the heating was not yet on the summer setting (it was April) but they would switch our room over remotely to that so that we could lower the temperature from our room. Unfortunately that didn’t work so in the end we opened the door to the balcony and the bathroom window to let cooler air in. The heating system automatically switched itself off when the door was open. It took a long time for the room to cool down and as a consequence we had a difficult nights sleep. Luckily there wasn’t much road noise. A shame because I would otherwise highly recommend this hotel. In summer it shouldn’t be a problem because they will have the hotel on the summer setting. I know Italy has strict rules about when they can turn their heating on and off so this may have been partly to blame.

Superior Zimmer sehr geräumig, komfortabel möbliert, große meerseitige Terrasse mit Gartenmöbeln, das Zimmer kann mit der Klimaanlage beheizt werden, wir waren im März da. Frühstück umfangreich, mit netter Musikbegleitung, das Personal immer sehr freundlich und nett, das Hotel in Fußnähe zur Stadt, das Mietauto war sehr praktisch, Parkplätze beim Hotel und bei der Stadt vorhanden.

Leider muss ich hier eine Kritik schreiben: Alle Fenster des Zimmers sind mit durchscheinenden (transluzenten) Folien beklebt. Man sieht durch die Fenster nicht hinaus! Stores wären in diesem Fall wesentlich angenehmer, da sie zur Seite gezogen werden können. Wir waren im März da, eine Jahreszeit in der die Fenster wegen der Kälte geschlossen sind. Das ist mit Milchglasigen Fenstern eine Zumutung.
