Don Ferrante - Dimore di Charme

Extremely clean hotel in a fantastic location directly in Monopoli’s old town. The bed was very comfortable, our room had a lovely fireplace, and the golf car pick-up/drop-off service from the parking was genuinely appreciated and very practical inside the historic center.

Important warning for future guests: in the “Deluxe King Room - Separate Building”, the hotel’s interpretation of “open-plan bathroom” means that the toilet is fully open to the bedroom without any door or separation. This was not obvious to us during booking. The wording is ambiguous, we naturally assumed it refers only to the shower or bathtub area, and even the booking confirmation photos did not clearly show the toilet situation. For what is marketed as a “boutique 5-star” hotel, the overall experience felt somewhat underwhelming and much closer to luxury apartments than a traditional international 5-star hotel experience. The reception is located in a dark basement room, there is no real lobby or classic luxury hotel atmosphere, rooms are spread across multiple buildings, and the breakfast experience was nowhere near what we personally experienced in other 5-star hotels. In the end, we moved to another room category for an additional charge and shortened our stay from 4 nights to 2 because no other suitable rooms were available afterward.

Chambre minuscule(moins de 15m2 compris sdb) La terrasse du restaurant est au dessus de la chambre. Bruits de chaises metallique tirées pendant tout le service- la chambre est a cote du local ou les serveurs rangent les bouteilles. La porte de la chambre n’etant pas insonorisee…

Great location. Unique rooms.

Emplacement idéal pour cet hôtel situé dans le centre historique, en front de mer. Nous y avons séjourné début avril et, malheureusement, la piscine n’était pas encore en fonctionnement (à noter qu’elle reste de toute façon assez petite), tout comme le restaurant du Rooftop, qui était également fermé lors de notre séjour. La chambre, très belle, s’inscrit parfaitement dans l’esprit des Pouilles avec ses pierres apparentes et ses plafonds voûtés. La décoration est soignée et l’espace est confortable. Le petit-déjeuner était excellent, sans doute le meilleur que nous ayons eu durant notre road trip dans les Pouilles.

Certains équipements et services ne sont pas accessibles en basse saison, ce qui peut être décevant au regard du standing annoncé. Prix élevé pour les Pouilles

Hotel maravilhoso, dentro de uma fortificação, vistas deslumbrantes, staff sensacional, precisa arrastar malas por alguns minutos pq taxi não ingressa na fortaleza, os arcos de tijolos dos quartos são baixos e causam acidentes na cabeça do hóspede. Box de banho maravilhoso, assim como o café da manhã.

Tamanho do apartamento voltado para o mar (Don Ciccio). Pouco espaço para acomodar malas e circular.
