"Great stay in lovely Stellenbosch"

What a fabulous start to our South African - Western Cape road trip. Penelope's really set the standard and we wondered: "Was it downhill all the way now?" Twas not to be and high standards are the norm in SA.. Warm welcome to a lovely room with garden view, only a few guests so felt like a homeshare rather than hotel and lovely b'fast on the patio. Help yourself/honesty bar cold drinks in a fridge at any time. Secure parking of course and s short drive to downtown Stellenbosch which was our favourite place in the Western Cape (nicer than Cape Town). Lots of lovely colonial architecture and places to visit. We went for a meal at Stellenbosch Reserve, one of the many wine producers in the area. Lovely food, exemplary service and the mountain view - never to be forgotten. We are not wine drinkers but worth the drive out for the experience. Start your South African visit at Penelope's!

"Toller Aufenthalt!"

Sehr nette Gastgeberin, liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer. Es sind die Kleinigkeiten, auf die es ankommt. Jeden Tag frische kleine Blumen, immer wieder mal eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit in Form von Schokolade etc. Sehr schöne Gegend, die auch sicher zu Fuß zu erkunden ist. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf die Berge, die im Sonnenuntergang rot angestrahlt wurden. Einfach schön.
