The Lapa Hotel

The buffet breakfast offered a nice range of local and European food, with small changes daily. The breakfast staff were delightful.

The reception staff inept, unable to make decisions and basically useless. The room we were given was dark and damp and the window looked straight at a 8 foot wall!!! Only limited sun beds by the pool! The advertised fitness room was out of action, and had been for some time according to other guests. Overall very disappointed!!!

Location next to Bluport. Good size room.

No hot water in shower. Shower pretty basic. Everything needed a good clean. Advertised gym and Spa but there was none. First room was too noisy with small child next door. Next room opposite train track so woken by train.

Frühstück okay, aber nichts, dass einem Umhaut. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit der schlimmsten Aussicht. Eine Blechwand vor dem Balkon um EG. Einigermassen sauber aber extremer Renovierung bedarf. Betten gut und Pool sehr schön. Fazit nicht mehr in diesem Zimmer sonst okay.

Eerste kamer was donker en zonder terras. 2e kamer zeer ruim, supergoed bad en douche, maar volledig afgesloten terras. 5 ontbijt buffetten steeds met koude gerechten, stokbrood net rubber, niet te eten. 1 ochtend koffiemachine “vergeten” aan te zetten, dus koude koffie. De bestelde eigerechten maar half gebakken, je kon ze drinken. Slechts 10 ligbedden aan het mooie zwembad met zeer dunne kussens. Kamer zeer ruim en zeer net.

It was nice and peaceful and easy to get to all the destinations we wanted to go to. The staff on the entrance were very nice and friendly.

There were a very limited amount of sun beds and you would have had to be up and sat on one by 8am to actually use one.

The Lapa is located in a good location. Easy to get everywhere. The hotel room was clean and tidy. We had a huge room. Just little things. Only had one bedside table. Toilet roll holder behind the toilet not easy to access? Light for hand basin was low to cupboard not up above basin? Taps turn on/off differently to normal but still worked. Pool was cool. Many people sunbaking but not swimming. Just a quick dip. It was a good place to stay in Hua Hi

The hotel itself was not that bad. We left a day early because of the horrible air pollution that blanketed the entire area!

The style layout and cleanliness of the room was very impressive.

As my wife had a bad back, we booked a pool access room as pictures on the website showed sunloungers.We felt it would be better for her. Unfortunately, there were only deckchairs with plastic seating on the patio in front of our room. With her bad back, she was unable to use them, and despite asking for sunloungers, they were never provided. She did try to use one that was in a different area, but they were metal and only had very thin cushions, so they were not suitable. She had to spend her time laying on the bed in the room. Also, a pool access room does not give you exclusive access to the area in front of your patio doors. We did not book breakfast, so we can't comment on that. However, the description on booking.com says a restaurant and pool bar. The pool bar does not exist, and the restaurant only serves breakfast. The spa is also under refurbishment. The staff were very nice but limited language skills, we conversed with Google translate on occasions.
