Clean modern room in a traditional country pub. Food really good quality and excellent local ales.

We had a lovely stay here the hosts were very welcoming and couldn't help us enough.

My wife and I were given a warm welcome and we were shown to our room. We were not disappointed. Freshly decorated, lovely TV set, comfortable beds, newly fitted-out bathroom. The evening meal and beer was very good and we enjoyed being made to feel like a local. Very quiet location, with a country setting but not far from the main roads. The breakfast was very good. A small pointer for the future would be to put the toast on a separate plate.
Our 3rd stay- obviously we like it. Position perfect for walks on the Moor - directly on the Two Moors Way. Evening menu including Specials gave an excellent choice. Full breakfast very good with cereals followed by full english. We did, however, have to ask for fruit juice .The farm next door sells excellent real Devon clotted cream.

Pleasant stay, comfortable bed and spotless bedding, breakfast ok, service ok, appreciated being able to take our dog. Mostly clean and pleasant decor in bedroom/bathroom. Tea tray was ok , kettle disgustingly filthy on the outside. Didnāt use it. A few essentials missing - hand towels - only one provided between 2 - towel rail - full length mirror - āsmilesā from the owners!
Nestling in the national park with incredible views, this is a little gem. We had a warm welcome and the accommodation was just what we needed and itās very dog friendly.
