Grand Mercure Apartments Magnetic Island

To open the door to our apartment and be met with the ocean front view was truly delightful. The apartment was spacious and well fitted out with everything you could need for an extended stay. The apartments are very well situated close to everything you need in Nelly Bay but you could really just stay in your room the entire time admiring the ocean!! Having access to all of the pools was lots of fun for the kids to visit each one. The rooftop pool was surprisingly freezing, but the great view up there into the bay and the multitude of lounge chairs made it a great place to spend some time.

The elevator in our building was broken, which was only really an issue getting in and out with all of our luggage. It was a little tricky finding access to the rooftop pool, we couldn't really see any signage for it.

Could be definitely cleaner. Floors seemed dirty. Roller blinds in main room very dirty.

Loved the location and the apartment itself was absolutely beautiful, spacious and had everything you would need.

The location and view were phenomenal.

It was a little more dated than we expected.

Plenty of facilities, beautiful swimming pools & a great location close to restaurants and transport. An absolutely breathtaking view from our Ocean View Room.

The property looks quite tired and dated. On our arrival, the lounge room television was faulty & had to be replaced the next day which was appreciated. Also, there was an issue with the washing machine which also needed attending to. The unit feels like you are a guest visiting in someone else’s place rather than staying in a high end accommodation.

The amount of pools to choose from was amazing! Everything was in walking distance and the views out to sea was more than a welcomed sight in the morning

The location was excellent, right next to the ferry/barge terminal, shops and take away food were within walking distance, and there was a gorgeous walk from Nelly Bay over the hill to the next beach. The apartment itself was exception! The facilities were high end, very well thought out and user friendly. Despite not being classified as beach front apartment we still had some water views from the balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities at the complex were also exceptional, with 2 x infinity pools with the most divine views from in the pool... simply gorgeous. While I didn't use any of the gyms they were easy to find and looked well fitted out. The apartment we had was simply beautiful! Will try to book the same apartment for my next stay.

One of the owner occupiers were rude and argumentative over car spaces, caused by other tenants utilising parks that were not their own! No other issues, my stay was just lovely :)
