We own a cabin near Sunnyside and stay at Sunnyside Lodge when the cabin is rented out. We have probably stayed at Sunnyside Lodge in excess of 15 times over the last 20 years. Over the years, we have gotten to know many staff members. It's always fun reconnecting after being away for a while. On this occasion, we had events to attend close by. So, the lodge was very convenient for our needs. We like the size of the rooms and the accessibility to the restaurant and bar downstairs. The rooms are reasonably priced, and the lakeview rooms are awesome. BTW you can't beat the view at any other lodges or inns on the west shore. There are a number of fun restaurants close by if you wander off the property (which you should do). Also, many rooms have wood-burning fireplaces with chopped wood and kindling if you like to make your own fire (which I do).

Some of the rooms are showing some wear and tear. The menu at the restaurant could use some new recipes. That said, there is very little not to like. This is not a 5-star hotel. It's a comfortable mountain lodge in a pristine location.

Very friendly staff, very comfortable room, excellent dinner and breakfast. Couldn´t be better.
