ibis Styles Chiang Mai

i usually like Ibis Styles . This one was very noisy due to airplane flight path and busy highway . Sometimes even with my hotel provided earplugs and the a/c running it was too noisy . it's too far from center of town. There were not enough electrical outlets & no usb port. The bed was super hard.Wifi was adequate . All the employees were professional and hard working. I got a plate of fresh fruit to welcome me. The room had a kettle, safe, microwave , and a big refrigerator. the hotel and my room was very clean . There was a 7/11 convenience store a 2 minute walk away .

Location not bad

Very bad room with unbelievable smell and when my wife complained and Zi call the reception they transferred them to another room with connection for the daughters and it was very very bad room OMG

First time staying in this Ibis Styles Chiang Mai as I previously stayed in Novotel Chiang Mai. the hotel is located in a decent location quite close to Chiang Mai zoo and Nimman area. The hotel meets our expectation given that it's reasonably priced. Everything is functioning as it should be and rooms are fairly clean. The reception kindly upgraded us to bigger connecting rooms which can fit 3 adults and 2 young kids comfortably. The coffee at the Tea room is quite nice too. There is a 7-11 nearby and a local wet market near schools. However, not many restaurants within walking distance except some local eateries. There is complimentary car park if you are driving. However, the hotel is showing signs of aging and lacking a bit of character. The biggest disappointment is that the room description states that complimentary breakfast is included in the family rooms but upon check in, they advised that breakfast is not included. I wrote and email to the hotel reservation team and Accor Plus to seek clarification but there was no response at all which was really disappointing. This hotel seems to cater more to tour groups who are there for a short stay. If you just want a simple place to sleep for the night, this hotel meets the requirements but I won't recommend for longer stays.

The location of the hotel is perfect.

Very limited options for vegetarians. Asked the chef if he could customize and prepare something without meat. The chef said it was possible but when I received the dish it had meat. Upon checking with the chef again, he said he could not remove the meat from the dish. Finally, ended up having plain spaghetti with tomato sauce for which I paid THB 250/-

My hotel wasn't able to accomodate me for the entire length of my stay in Chiang Mai, so I was forced to find another hotel for a couple of nights. I was hesitant to stay here again given my previous experience, but gave it another chance hoping things improved. I was afforded an early checkin, which I do very much appreciate (thanks); and breakfast was included this time (although, I don't normally get the breakfast because of my dietary requirements). The room I was given was smaller than the last time I was there, and in the 2nd building. I thought I had booked a room with a single bed, but it had two (not a big deal). The breakfast was average, and relatively busy. Probably could do with extra wait staff though (I actually had random Chinese seniors asking me about the food!). Omelette station could have been better organised, I couldn't even manage to get one because of the queue. Front desk needs to hold more small notes for changing. I had ordered food delivery with Grab and I needed small notes for 100 Baht, but the front desk didn't even have enough for that! Showers are still the worst. Last time, the water was either scalding hot or cold, but this time it was barely even luke warm. There was no water pressure either, and got worst as you adjusted the temperature to make it warmer. So it was just cold showers.

The hotel is located about a 20-minute walk from central places in the city. The hotel is pleasant, clean and sufficient for a stay of a few days. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is good. The hotel staff is extremely kind and charming and helped us with everything we needed, including booking attractions, booking taxis and any other matter. Mainly would like to mention the charming and devoted Dream, Bright and Joey. Thanks a lot guys
