Hotel Gabrini

Room was clean, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was alright, few restaurants and seafront within a short walk, it haven't gone beyond my expectations but did its job, absolutely recommended.

The most attentive, helpful, and friendly staff of our entire European trip. A great, very reasonably priced small hotel.

I would first like to point out that based on hotel location (in relation to the beach/centre & restaurants), service, hotel & room condition alone I would have give the hotel a 5! Nicest & friendliest staff who were extremely helpful & welcoming. They offered us a free upgrade & even a free 4 courses dinner + drinks on our last night. Although this was not the first time it happened to us in a small Italian hotel we were still extremely grateful & it was the perfect end to our holiday. Now to the small negative aspects which most people wouldn't care but unf WIFI is always the first thing I look at when I book a hotel. I have to work at least a couple hours a day while on holiday. A reliable WIFI in my hotel room is essential. Unf WIFI doset work in our room (we tried various devices). So instead of enjoying the nice balcony in the room I had to spend quite a lot of time sitting in the bar area to use the WIFI. I also spent quite a bit of money doing tethering (yes roaming)in our room. It was very frustrating. Breakfast can do with fruit (even just dried fruit) every morning instead of every other morning. We don't really understand why there were no forks. No one asked so we didn't either. I felt a bit silly eating ham with a spoon but it wasn't a big deal. Overall it was a great place to stay in Massa& without the absent of WIFI in our room I would have given this place at least a 4 star.

Even after arriving very late after a long trip the owner offered to open bar or make a hot drink before we retired to our room, great customer service

Nice hotel at walking distance from the beach, good restaurants and of course worderful gelatto places. Only point i'd say they could improve is the breakfast. It is not bad, but could use some fresh fruit and a better selection of cheeses and cold cuts that we expect to see when in Italy. No nutella too.

The room was clean but very basic though I didn't need more. I liked the hotel and I will come back there next time.

We had a great 2 night stay at Hotel Gabrini. The rooms were very nice and we enjoyed 2 delicious dinners in the restaurant. The complimentary breakfast was very nice. The hotel is run by a very charming family and they made us feel very much at home. We enjoyed using the bicycles that are available for free. The location was great and the price was right. We will be back!!
