22 On Rose

My room was not at 22 on Rose but at 91 Wale St a few blocks further up into Bo Kaap - this was not clear in the booking and complicated check in, including an issue with keys, though the lady who checked me in was very helpful and pleasant. The room was simple and basic, decent condition, but the black-out curtain was not really a full black-out curtain, and early light coupled with the nearby muezzin meant it wasn’t the best night’s sleep. But decent value for a last minute booking when Cape Town was very busy

Trevligt, enkelt hotell med trevlig personal nära till centrum. Området är lite ruffigt men annars så har allting fungerat.

Séjour de quatre nuits. Maison très agréable dans le quartier Bo Kaap , très sympathique. Stationnement gratuit et surveillé la nuit par un gardien. Arrivée très tardive la première nuit et le gardien très sympathique avait notre clé et nous a aidé à nous installer . Un super restaurant, bonne cuisine, bonne musique et bonne ambiance à deux pas dans la même rue . Il faut réserver car très demandé. Le seul petit bémol est la mauvaise qualité du réseau wifi... Belle attention pour le petit déjeuner ,fruits frais , jus d'oranges pressées , café , thé, lait , pain de mie, beurre, confiture , céréales , muffins frais , œufs.... Nous y retournerons à l’occasion sans aucun doute.

We stayed in Wale Lodge - part of 22 On Rose complex, but up the road a bit. This caused some initial confusion with the booking, but quickly clarified with the manager. Only downside was parking was a 5 minute walk away - a minor inconvenience. Accommodation was super clean, comfortable and good value. Breakfast was convenient and adequate. Not really a hotel - more an ensuite room in a house. Would recommend.

Hermosa casa ubicada en bokaap, es el barrio malayo, a 2 o 3 cuadras del centro y cerca de todo. Muy tranquilo. La casa super cómodas, las habitaciones impecables con todas las comodidades. El desayuno muy variado y riquísimo. Dejan todo en la cocina y heladera y uno se lo prepara. Como estar en casa. Me volvería a hosperdar allí si vuelvo a Cape town.

I had an amazing trip to Cape Town which involved staying at 28 Rose Lodge which Bruce put me in as he has three properties including 22 On the Rose as well which were very comfortable, clean and Edward & Amanda were fantastic for providing me with breakfast every day. The location was excellent but the downside was that at night you can not just walk out in Cape Town you have to get a taxi no matter what which I like to walk to places so this was a disadvantage but not to Bruce or his B&B.

Nettes kleines Hotel in zentraler Lage mit freundlichem Personal und fürsorglichem Besitzer. Zimmer 2 mit Dachterrasse, die jetzt noch einen Sonnenschutz bekommen soll, absolut super. Frühstück zum Selbstzubereiten, dadurch an keine Zeiten gebunden. Kaffee und Tee jederzeit verfügbar. Kühlschrank kann mitbenutzt werden. Würden rose 22 immer wieder buchen.

Greate staff. Greate location. They make you feel at home. They help you to plan your trip. And they are always looking after. I would put them an 11 over 10.

What a wonderful place to stay! Everyone who works there is super friendly and helpful. The provided breakfast was ample. The entire place was always clean. You have several keys for the gate, doors, and room safe, and I felt very comfortable and safe staying here. My only complaint was thwt there was a couple with a small child staying on the same floor as me, and when the child wasn't screaming and crying (which was pretty much all the time), the parents would let her run around the common areas making lots of noise. This was the only thing that put a damper on my stay there. Other than that, I had the most wonderful stay and would highly recommend this beautiful lodge/guesthouse.

Very clean and cosy. Not any good view out the windows. But it felt really safe. Very nice landlady as well.
