Hotel La Catedral

The rooms are small but the quality of the bedding is very good. The best part of this place is the fact that is at an excellent location. The bathroom is very small and the staff is not very accommodating around the Holy Week as they have the place full and no extra sheets are given. There is no A/C but there is a fan, I wasn't happy about it. The place is nicely kept, the breakfast menu is very limited.

The hotel is centrally located within amazing restaurants and shopping.

Monica the manager was the best, she helped book my cars, a private guided tour of the city which was fantastic, and made sure everything was perfect in the hotel. She was knowledgeable and friendly. The staff was great, the breakfast was very good, they had morning coffee service as well. The hotel is clean, well run, and the rooms are nicely done. The bathroom was spacious and clean and they had a fan in the room. The roof deck was fun to see the city. Would definitely recommend.

The front staff was very friendly and helpful finding us a guide and booking a ride to the airport. The courtyard is pretty.

Our small room was in the front of the building. There is no air conditioning and we could not keep the window covering open because people can see in, the street is noisy and the car lights are bothersome. There is a sign. In the shower that one has to run water for 10 minutes to get hot water. That sign is true so a lot of water is wasted. The kitchen is broken so we had to walk down the street to get breakfast. Thankfully, we were only there one night.

All the staff is friendly and the hotel is beautiful

Great place to stay with great location for exploring a great city. Great breakfasts were offered and the terrace on top had an amazing view of the 3 volcanoes. Staff were all very helpful. Really would recommend this place for anyone wanting to visit Antigua

Beautiful, historic hotel but won’t book it next time. Nightly rate (double of other places) didn’t seem to make sense. Lots of street noise, no a/c (plug in fan we requested from front desk did help some), furniture in room was mini sized and not comfortable. It is very close to the main plaza but everything in Antigua is walkable, so next time I’ll book further away from the main square.
