DeBary Inn

Location and ambience. Easy in and out with door code. Clear instructions about process. Welcomed by a friendly team member. Nice to have well decorated inn in Summit rather than a big brand hotel.

The mattress Room 10 Parking can be challenging.

Great location and a classic Victorian B&B. Easy check-in and check-out process, great communication by text before the visit, and friendly staff who served a yummy breakfast that we enjoyed in the sunshine on the front porch.

Lack of off-street parking and strict enforcement of overnight parking ban in the town of Summit.

Reason because it was so small and no fridge in the room.Also breakfast id so low quality of food and in the shower very very small shampoo and conditioner. cupboard was broken very very bad service. never again

Wonderful inn - loved staying there even though it was a short stay! Highly recommend for anyone coming to the Summit, NJ area!

We held a baby shower using the Secret Tea Room. The whole experience and location were wonderful. The team made the experience delightful. We had a welcome on the porch. It was so pretty. They allowed me to decorate as needed and welcomed us to the inn. All my guests enjoyed delightful food and the ambiance of the inn.

It's a charming inn. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The wrap around porch is a great place to sit and have your morning coffee. The free (cold) breakfast was delicious. My room, #2, was somewhat of a downer. The full sized bed was just OK and a few times I thought it was going to collapse. The TV was maybe 40", which is small but it had lots of cable channels. No Netflix, YouTube, etc. More pluses than minuses. Oh I noticed an EV charger in the parking area. The Inn deserves a lot of credit for installing an EV charger. I debated staying at the Short Hills Hilton. I am glad that I chose the DeBarry.

The Debary is very close to downtown Summit. You could walk to downtown Summit. The Debary is a beautiful older house. There is plenty of on-site parking. The room we booked was large, had a TV and its own bathroom. The rates are very reasonable also.

First off - there are several great things about this inn. Location cannot be beat both for access to downtown Summit and surrounding neighborhoods which are ideal for walking and/or running (sidewalks plus beautiful homes and yards). Plus there is a large outdoor porch with very comfortable furniture where we were able to read, have a snack and relax. The inn itself does need some TLC inside but we have noticed the same need in other inns of this age where we have stayed. Our only negative was our room - number 4 (full disclosure we did pick the cheapest available room). It has less to do with room itself but its location in the house. You have to access the room through a kitchen/utility room which is also the entrance to the back parking lot (which a previous reviewer has mentioned is not the most appealing way in). Having said that, the real concern is that you can hear folks walking around in the room above pretty clearly and unfortunately for us at all hours (at least the second night). So I would at least think about another room if you are a light sleeper. In all we think the pluses outweigh the minuses and would stay again - but pick a room on the top floor!

It was such a cozy place. The location was excellent and the place was so nicely done up and super clen. The staff was so so helpful and nice! It felt like staying at a friends place!

Would have loved maybe one or two hot dishes at breakfast - maybe scrambled eggs? But I am still not complaining and would stay again!
