Britannia Inn

Warm welcome. Comfortable room - the only minor complaints were that I couldn't open the wardrobe to hang clothes up and that there was no shampoo in the bathroom (I normally travel with shampoo, and didn't notice until the morning when it wasn't practical to ask anyone for it).

The hotel is clean and tidy with nice furnishings. The room we had was rather small and stuffy as there is not a lot of window for room size and is was a rare summery couple of days. The bathroom is very disappointing. I really expect a shower in the en-suite, ours only had a bath although it was very clean. Breakfast is very nice as is the service. The hotel is situated out of Llangollen town on the way up the Horseshoe Pass; it is too far to walk after a night in Llangollen. Do not rely on taxis as there simply is not enough to go round unless you pre-book. The hotel staff came to our rescue and picked us up avoiding a 3 hour wait, at 10:20pm. This place is VFM, however I personally need an en-suite shower.

5 nights. Stunning location and excellent accessibility to surrounding areas. Made very welcome and plenty to eat! Hopefully WiFi one day! But strong phone signal.

All was good. Staff were very efficient, helpful and couldn’t do more to ensure a pleasant stay.

Lovely location and staff

Lovely traditional inn in a peaceful and scenic location just a couple of miles from LLangollen. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food. Clean and comfortable accommodation. Would definitely go back.

The staff couldn’t be more helpful! Really got to know every customer that was staying over. Very homely and in the middle of nature! Loads of hiking routes nearby, also great views to sit and having a meal and drink outside of an evening. Would definitely go back again.

A charming old coaching Inn located in an Ideal spot close to the Horseshoe Pass with very friendly and helpful staff.
