Grand Country Waterpark Resort

1st I would like to say I don’t usually do reviews on places because my experience may not be the same as someone else’s. However give. The extreme price of this place I was really expecting a great experience. Unfortunately that’s not the case. The check-in was good and easy, but after that it’s all downhill. The rooms are very basic and haven’t been updated since the 1970’s at least. Old, smelly and lots of ants. The buffet was absolutely horrid $86.00 for 4 people and was a complete waste of money. The selection was small and the food was less than even good. Then we move on to the “water park” now this was a cool experience and WOULD have been worth it if it wasn’t for the A$$ load and attitude of ALL the lifeguards. They have way too many life guards and they all get off on treating the guest like garbage. They all hate their jobs and they are quick to yell at kids and parents alike. Let your kid get 6-8 inches away from you and you’re going to get attacked by the lifeguards. It takes all the fun out of the experience when these people treat you like a trespasser in a place you paid a ton of money to stay at. If they rooms were up to the quality of other hotels and the staff here was even half way friendly to their guest this would have at least gotten 2 stars. I would NOT recommend this hotel or water park until the staff and management changes. Hated every moment of this stay in this place. ***just my experience.

It was a nice place for the kids but your best bet is to book close to the water park because they have multiple buildings and can be put far out, the water park was amazing for the kids I was the perfect temp for them to be in all day. The rooms were nice but I did find a bunch of grapes scattered about in my room and they had people who weren’t staying at the hotel in the side pool that they have at one of the farther hotel rooms they offer.

The rooms were nice, check in was quick and easy! I would have give them more stars, but the staff at the water were very rude, to the point of bringing my nephew to tears, even though he had on the correct band to use the bigger slides, they waited until his mother went down and then insulted his size and told him he could not go down the slide because he was to big!! My niece was at the bottom waiting for him to come down only to see him walking back down and he was in tears!! How do you talk to a child that way!!! They definitely need better staff at the water park!! The kids could not even sit at the edge of the water and play unless an adult was within arms link! The kids were really not able to fun in the water because of this rule!
