"A gem."

We were meet out on the road as we missed the turning. Our host couldn't have been more welcoming nor helpful. Lovely homemade cookie in the room on arrival, lots of choice for breakfast, they can provide a bbq pack for the gazebo in the pretty garden which is well stocked with veggies. There's a sitting room downstairs that your encouraged to use with a dozen hens on view in the their own garden. The local pubs have great food and the village of Coxwold is a picture postcard.

"Hidden Gem"

Great hotel in the countryside. Ryan and Andy are friendly and helpful hosts. Great breakfasts. Walking distance to local village pub. Ideal location for visiting the Yorkshire Moors and its many and varied offerings (in particular National Trust and English Heritage visits plus Castle Howard and RHS Harlow Carr)

"Exceptional"

Quaint place must be a nightmare keeping on top of the maintenance of the building and gardens . Very difficult for them in the last 18 months. Give them some love.

"Coxwold Luxury ..."

Location, comfort, breakfast, service ... all TOP quality. The only issue we had was with the condition of the bathroom, which will need to be addressed some time soon. The hosts were true professionals - so I suspect they already have plans in place to sort out the bathroom.

"Small 'hôtel de charme' in North Yorkshire"

We spent only one night but would have loved to stay longer. The village of Coxwold is extremely pretty and quiet. Newburgh House is a gem of a guest house on the outskirts of the village, with a splendid garden. We stayed in a very large, comfy room with three windows looking over the garden, a field, and the hens' enclosure respectively. Large en-suite bathroom. Lovely breakfast in room looking to the garden. The house is one of the prettiest I have ever stayed in and the decoration is warm and tasty. Lots of books on the shelves to pick from and a nice lounge to relax. Andy and Ryan have done a great job in creating this 'home from home'.

"Good"

Nice big room but little dated and in need of a refurb. Hosts were great and breakfast good. Hot water and nice towels and flask of milk provided for tea and coffee. No complaints. My partner thought bed uncomfortable bit I didn't find it too bad. Quite too which was good
