Hotel Kiridara Luang Prabang

From check in to check out we had an amazing time. Staff was very attentive and gave great recommendations . I have to give a number 10 to Linda , Lia and all the staff while our visit in Luang Prabang . Will most def go back again

We had a fabulous time staying at the Kiridara.The staff were incredibly friendly & helpful, the room spacious, airy, & very comfortable, the location great (with an on-demand shuttle service), and the restaurant was excellent (particularly the breakfast, which includes both buffet and menu service!). Overall, couldn't recommend highly enough!

A delightful boutique hotel! Lovely setting and amazing views from the restaurant and rooms. Very friendly staff and they went out of their way to help me arrange a cake for my husband for his birthday whilst we were there (Leah and Simon). A great place to stay, close enough to the town centre and the hotel provides free transport 8 am-9 pm which as so useful!

We stayed in the Villa overlooking the Mekong River. It was a great treat especially travelling with three teenagers as it gave them some much needed space. The Villa was in a good location near restaurants and a short walk to the town and night market. The downsides were that we had to get their shuttle service to get to the hotel each day for breakfast and to use the pool. It took ten minutes to drive there each time, which meant we did not use the pool much as it felt like we had to all go rather than popping down from a nearby room. They provided us with a portable Wi-Fi hotspot which was really useful for going out and about. I was not expecting that but they said we could call them from town if we needed a shuttle back to the hotel. They were very accommodating. Reception staff were always very helpful. The pool was good, but there was construction happening which was disappointing as the dust settled on the pool and the noise meant it was not very relaxing. The breakfast was wonderful - with a buffet and a separate a la carte menu each day. The manager was very attentive and always checked on us. The coffee was perfect. We also went for a massage which was really good. $20 promotion for a 60 minute massage. Overall a really good stay.

Just came back from a 3 night stay at Kiridara. Overall a pleasant stay. Positives: -The bed was very large and comfortable. Great pillows and mattress. -Stayed in the King Suite - a very spacious room, well appointed with big balcony, bath, and nice view into town -Free shuttle service offered into town. Available on a moment's notice and they will drop you wherever you ask. They will even come and pick you up in town if you call them. -Very friendly front desk staff - helpful and always ask about your day -The manager was also very kind, was very visible and always stopped to check in with how things were going. -It is well known by locals so the tuk tuk drivers always knew exactly where to take us when asked Negatives: -The fitness centre was not very well appointed. Could definitely use an update on the equipment -There was not much hot water - the water would run cold before the bath was even half filled up, shower often went cold after a few minutes use -Ongoing construction happening during our stay as they are rebuilding the deck. Was a bit of a nuisance. When laying by the pool, the smoke from welding would drift over us, workers smoking while we were trying to relax, and banging noises beginning early in the morning (6:30 AM) -The pool bar is meant to be open from 2 - 8 PM, with happy hour from 5-6, but there was rarely anyone staffing the bar. One day when the manager came out, someone rushed to the bar and switched on the music. Would have been nice to have had the availability and ambience of music while we were relaxing by the pool. -Massage: My partner and I each book a massage on separate days. In both of our sessions, the masseuse would leave the room for 10-15 minutes at a time without any word about what was happening or why. Though we paid for 100 minutes, we ended up getting far less because of these long pauses. -Small complaint, but for the price we paid relative to most properties in Luang Prabang, I would have expected higher quality toilet paper - it was basically sandpaper. Had to buy our own. -The breakfast buffet was disappointing - food was not restocked and the hot food was cold by the time we would arrive around 8:30-9. Some periodic freshening up of the buffet would have been a nice touch. -The safe in our room did not work. -The instant coffee in the room was not restocked each day during cleaning. A small thing, but it's a lot of these little touches that make a big difference in a stay. Overall we had a pleasant stay, but there are a few small issues that need to be resolved to really make the property a truly wonderful experience. There's a lot of potential here.

Lovely hotel and location with a great driver and front desk staff. The rooms are well designed and very spacious with great views over the city (if you don’t go in burning season 😅). Sadly, had to move rooms due to a mosquito infestation but they were very accommodating. The restaurant’s food is quite basic and service, particularly room service, was not good. Other this, a lovely stay.

Average property and dated Staff were very friendly. Hotel provides pick-up and drop off services in town.

An absolutely beautiful hotel and staff. The location was superb, even though it is 1.3km from the town centre (which is totally walkable, but the hotel offers a free shuttle service to/from town if you need it). I spent a week here, a couple of days just lazing by the fantastic infinity pool staring over the city views. Breakfasts were great and catered for everything, so were dinners in the restaurant, even though I ate in town most of the time at the markets. Staff were brilliant, cannot complain. I'd stay here again.

Today we leave Kiridara having stayed for 3 nights. A sad day because this hotel has exceeded our expectations in every way! The grounds are amazingly stunning, clean with the perfect blend of modern & Asian character. The pool is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and light. The breakfast is great with plenty of options. The staff here take your experience to a whole new level. They greet with a smile everyday and refuse to see you lift a finger. Any request is never any trouble no matter what it is. They drop you off into town on request, and will even pick you up if you wish which is part of the service they offer. A special thanks to Kong, he made our stay fantastic. Never have I met such a kind and helpful manager during travels. He even drove me on his own personal motorbike to arrange motorcycle hire at a local rental company. He went beyond his role in order to provide the best customer experience he could. One of a kind. You couldn't ask for more, value for money I don't think you can beat this place. I'm so happy we got to experience Laos while staying here.
