There are two ladies working, one very nice and willing to help (she checked us in, explain everything and even suggested some places to see, eat), other just doing the bare minimum unless you speak Italian (she was there for the rest of your stay). We were two but had to book triple room as it was the last one available - double bed + one single bed, very spacious room with a big terrace (huge plus). Bathroom was basic but clean, toiletries, hairdryer available. A/C and TV worked well. Train station "Piano" is located about 20min walk away; there you can catch a train going to Sorrento and easily explore Amalfi coast from there. The elevator (built in the rock) is 10min walk away and takes you up/down to the local beach for 1 euro/ride/person.

Very basic breakfast that is the same every day (we did not understand why there was always just 1-2 fried eggs max) so if you stay for a week or longer, you will get sick of it quickly. If I remember well, they only change sheets and towels every third night, you can request new ones earlier but for a fee (2-3 euro/towel). Bathrooms (especially showers) need renovation, safety deposit box did not work. Wi-fi in our room did not work most of the time, not sure why but it was annoying. Mind that there is no elevator and rooms are only accessible by steep stairs (hotel site mentions this but it might be an issue for senior visitors). There is a supermarket right next to the hotel, however it was never open while we were there and the next available one is 15min walk away - limited offer but enough for basic shopping. Nothing to do/see in Piano, there's a local beach with very limited free space (most spots are subject to a charge) so you need to go early if you want a spot, a few bars and restaurants but that's about it. OK option for budget stay, especially in high season.

Ho soggiornato più di una volta in questa struttura l'ambiente è molto carino e grazioso,la colazione è fantastica,curato nei dettagli e accogliente. Le camere sono pulite, confortevoli e arredate con gusto semplice ma piacevole. Il personale è estremamente gentile e disponibile. Ottima anche la posizione, comoda per visitare la città. Nel complesso un’esperienza molto positiva: un hotel che merita sicuramente più di tre stelle per la qualità del servizio e l’atmosfera. Consigliatissimo ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

They want to nickel and dime you by charging for a bottle of water and extra towels. Reception person kept keeping tabs on what I was having for breakfast.
