The Angel Inn

Historic inn, it's old and interesting. Very comfortable. Very friendly. Good food. Lovely staff. Good location for car touring.

Bedroom walls give very little soundproofing. So inconsiderate fellow guests will cause annoyance with TV etc. (boots wax earplugs recommended 👍🏿).

Uneven flooring gave me bad vertigo (no fault to the hotel but guests with vertigo should keep this in mind), Bathroom radiator didnt turn off and the room was quite warm, Plug socket next to bed is unusable.

Beds were very small (double) instead of the usual Queen's or King's. We were keen to have breakfast quickly to take advantage of the day ahead. Instead, breakfast was only from 8am, so we were all at the breakfast table at 8am to order our food. We were the first customers, but it took 1 hour to receive our breakfast.

We had a large room which was decorated in grey with matching furniture including an armchair,small built in wardrobe,three mirrors,tv and an air conditioning appliance.The hospitality tray was well stocked and fresh milk was available in a fridge in the lobby nearby. The bathroom was large with a modern shower that worked well and a jacuzzi bath.The hot water was plentiful and toiletries were provided. The breakfast was delicious with small portions available if required.The young man serving was very attentive.We had a meal in the evening and the food was excellent.All the staff were friendly and helpful. To sum up we really enjoyed our three night stay and would definitely come again.
