Hotel Baleares

This hotel was just what my brother and I needed. The room was clean, the water was hot and the bed slept well. The location is close to restaurants and bars and was very reasonably priced. The free breakfast was more than expected and the WiFi was fast. We were just in Santiago for one night but I would stay here again for sure! Don't listen to the negative reviews, you get what you pay for. This is not a 5 star hotel but it exceded our expectations and was a wonderful place to stay.

I was in Santiago for my honeymoon in September 2016, but only today I was able to do this evaluation. I was totally disappointed after arriving at this Hotel. The place was old and poorly maintained, it seems that they did not make renovations for a long time, the hygiene conditions in the common areas were also not the best. There was no one who could carry my luggage upstairs. No elevator available. When I looked at the photos on the hotel's website, I saw a double room with a good appearance, which made me choose the Baleares, but when I entered the room they gave me, I realized that it followed the same pattern as the rest: old, ugly and poor in hygiene. I asked to change room and I was taken to the last floor, but the room was uglier and very hot, because it was close to the roof. I concluded that there was no way to celebrate my marriage in a place like that, so I decided to ask for the money back and go somewhere else. At that point I saw myself in another country with nowhere to go with my wife and my suitcases, luckily after a long search I found a vacancy in another hotel nearby. Wifi were the only thing I used, and really worked. The service at the reception was not good, curt and unwilling attendant to solve the impasse. In the end they refused to return the payment, insisting that the reservation was "non-refundable". Summary: I lost money and ended up unsatisfied. No sense having a good location without quality.

El personal es muy amable y te ayudan en todo. Las instalaciones son viejas y la calidad de la limpieza podría mejorar. Si no eres muy exquisito, para dormir es suficiente.

Elegí este hotel por su excelente ubicación y el precio muy favorable. Este hotel no tiene ascensor y las habitaciones están en el segundo y tercer piso. Era un reto subir las maletas por una escalera muy estrecha. El desayuno era muy básico pero bueno por el precio que pagué.

Hotel simples porém limpo. Staff atencioso. Válido principalmente pelo preço e localização. Tv com muitos canais, Wi Fi limitada à recepção. Banho muito bom, cama nem tanto.

Localização ótima, atendimento também. Mas o quarto estava lastimável... muito velho, danificado, sem condições de ser habitado... ainda bem que ficamos apenas uma noite.
