Hotel La Alhondiga

Selected only because it abuts Puebla's main plaza. It is very inexpensive and you get what you pay for. Staff wasn't particularly friendly or helpful. I wasn't given a TV remote, but it didn't matter because the TV was smaller tthan a closet. Oh, it had no place to put clothes, like a closet or set of drawers. The room, while clean, was bare minimum. The bathroom was smaller than the TV screen.

Pesimo servicio no contestan los telefonos, no tienen estacionamiento, no puedes estacionarte cerca pata bajar equipaje, no tienen botones, ni valet parking y la recepcionista pesimo trato al cliente en definitivo no me volveria a hospedar ahi, lo unico bueno de todo es su ubicacion

Although great location, nothing else was great. Room was so small double bed was against a wall on one side. Bathroom was ridiculously small! Toilet was so close to wall had to take off pants, step one leg over toilet, then spread legs just to sit down. Hard to then get up in that position. Outrageously priced 100+ peso “continental” breakfast did not include any bread, only coffee, unripened fruit juice, and a few slices of fruit. They gave us menus to order breakfast.

I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the negative reviews, but it almost seems they were written for a different hotel! I loved the beautiful colonial building and you absolutely cannot beat the location. The hotel was within my budget and was very comfortable for my short stay in Puebla.

This hotel was located quite centrally and upstairs off an arcade - easy to miss if you didn't know where to go. Room I had was quite large, but overlooking the main street which made it a little noisy. Was clean, but the wifi didn't reach the room I was in (other rooms it did), but was quite good near the reception area. Stayed as part of a Toucan Tour

Our rooms were not ready when we tried to check in - which wasn’t a problem! Our cases were locked into a room until they were. When we returned to the hotel we were taken to our cases - no help at all given to move cases from one room to the other. I was carrying a suitcase, a rucksack, a handbag, a jacket and a cardigan but the young man did not volunteer to help. I don’t understand why !!!!!!! He didn’t even bother to open the door to our room for us! As it happened the card key didn’t work so we had to go back down stairs and get another !! I am very unimpressed!! PS no AC and fan is very noisy !!

Los muebles de la habitación son muebles que no se pueden utilizar porque se quiebran, el baño sumamente descuidado y un poco sucio. El edificio es muy bonito puesto que fue utilizado por el gobierno pero no está conservado en su infraestructura. El desayuno incluido es sólo una fruta, nada más, no es un desayuno completo o suficiente. En términos generales, tiene una excelente locación pero definitivamente la infraestructura podría ser mucho mejor.

Desde que me hospede lo tengo como mi primer opción, espero que mientras más lo use tenga mayores descuentos

I stayed here one night while on a Tucan tour. The room quality was okay and I would stay here again. I had an internal room which was large and quiet. The bathroom was run down but clean and everything worked OK. The hotel’s location was excellent, next to the town’s main square, and it enabled us to make the most of our time in Puebla. The breakfast was good, it included fresh sliced fruit and eggs, however the coffee was possibly the worst I’ve ever had.
