Grangeview Guest House

We expected an en-suite room which we didn`t get. The parking was a joke and the breakfast was average.

Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Die Innenstadt ist in 20min zu Fuß und in 10min per Bus erreichbar.

Overall a lovely place! The guest house owners were very helpful and nice, which is always a big plus in a new place. The rooms were superb: spacious and well-decorated (very pretty!), as well as functional, and there was tea and coffee available. The dining area was also very nice, as was the choice of breakfasts. - More pleasant, spacious, quieter, and a better value than the hotel in city centre (in Edinburgh) at which I'd just stayed just previously.

Encredibly helpful and accomodating staff. Helped in so many ways. A bit cold in the room. Blankets were abundant. Could not have asked more. Our first B & B and we will probably do that again. Did not take advantage of breakfast. Would recommend to anyone not expecting a luxury hotel. So clean! Thank you for a pleasant stay in Edinburgh.

Thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay! My hosts, Kim and Andy, were warm and welcoming, the room was clean and charming, and the Scottish breakfast fortified me for the day's walking tour up and down the Royal Mile. I was traveling alone, so I really appreciated the personal touch. The B&B is half a block off the busy street, so it was much more quiet than some of the other B&Bs I'd considered online, yet close enough to the frequent buses into Old Town. I could have stayed closer to the tourist attractions, but I'm glad I didn't -- staying in a more residential neighbor gave me a glimpse of real Edinburgh life.

It is a nice and cosy bed and breakfast. Room are really clean and the owners are really helpful.

Alles war in Ordnung. Sehr ruhige Lage, allerdings etwas außerhalb vom Zentrum. Dies ist aber kein Problem, da eine hervorragende Busanbindung besteht. Vom Besitzerehepaar gab es gute Tipps für die Ausflüge/Sehenswürdigkeiten. Schönes Gästehaus.

Molto accogliente, facilmente raggiungibile, dotato di parcheggio privato, ottimamente collegato col centro da diverse linee di autobus. I proprietari sono gentilissimi, molto disponibili a fornire qualsiasi informazione di cui si abbia bisogno. Alla partenza ci hanno omaggiato di un paio di confezioni di shortbread. O:)

First thing me and my friend noticed is a friendly atmosphere in this guest house.Lovely smily kind staff there.Rooms not big but designed with a good taste and very cozy.There is everything in for a travellers convenience. For that price an excellent place to stay.I liked there and having necessarity will be happy to return.

My partner and I had a delightful two night city break and were suitably impressed with the guest house. We had a excellent welcome in which we were informed of bus routes, must see atrractions and recommended places to eat. The room was clean and comfortable and the en-suite was definately worth paying the little extra for. We chose not to use the buses as th guest house is only a 15min walk up one street to the Royal Mile in which most attractoins are situated. You have to check out of your room by 10am, but this is not a problem if you wish to spend the rest of the day in Edinburgh. You are offered a room to keep your luggage or like us are allowed to leave your car parked there during the day. I would highly recommend a stay here as the prices are very reasonable to comparable options and the service was fantastic!!
