Gold Coast Resort Dungarvan

I loved the location. Dungarvan is a beautiful town. I would return in a heartbeat. I did like that there was a playground on the grounds. It made the evenings easier as my kids could play for a bit before bed.

Oh gosh... I am not against staying in run-down, crappy, 70s cottages. In fact, we've booked those types of houses before when we wanted something cheap and cheerful; however, I've never paid anywhere close to €900 to stay in such a dump. The house was terrible. There were stains on the furniture and carpets. The kitchen and appliances were so old, but everything worked, albeit a little slowly. There were water stains on the wall from a leak in the upstairs shower. The windows were single-pane, and the one in our bedroom didn't close. They were also filthy. If you check the website, there are loads of photos of the apartments, which do look beautiful. There aren't many of the houses, so you'd be forgiven for believing they would be of the same standard, but the couldn't have been more different. The beds were horribly uncomfortable. Honestly, avoid the self catering houses. Just horrible and scandalous money for the quality. You won't see photos of the gym, and for good reason. The gym was pathetic. It didn't open until 9am, which was very frustrating, but the machines were ridiculously old. My kids enjoyed the pool and the steam room did look nice, but seriously, the gym was a joke.

Went there with my girlfriend and 2 kids for 2 nights hotel is really nice and clean rooms are very clean and everything looks new and good quality. was a good plus to have smart tvs in bedroom and in the living room. food was really nice and and price is average but loved their chicken wings. Staff was very nice and helpfull i will definately go again.

the room was not completely clean, stains in the shower from the renovation as well as dust and dead flies in the corners; it wasn't clear from the description that the room is furnished for somebody in a wheelchair: the bathroom was equipped respectively i.e. a very small and low hanging washbasin, a very low hanging mirror in the bathroom. This was not per se negative for us but wasn't clear from the description on booking.com

Its location and its facilities, its staff and their friendliness.

Its needs some basic maintenance work done and with some sanding and fresh paint on furniture etc it could be so much better. White goods and cooker need to be upgraded.

House was near the beach. Pool was lovely. Staff were very helpful.

House was hard to find as it's not on the hotel grounds. Bed was uncomfortable. Facilities were very dated. Balcony needs repairs.
