Locanda Rossa is a gem. Rooms are amazingly comfortable, breakfast is fantastic and the staff is incredibly friendly. Birdwatching alert: During the day, the sound of bee-eaters is a constant from dawn to dust, golden orioles sing their beautiful melody and hoopoes fly on the fields. At night, nightingales and owls, feel the spring night with sweet tunes. Note: After a staff member notice by interest in porcupines, he offered me a porcupine quail!!! Best souvenir from Toscany! Highly recommend!

Servizio impeccabile in ogni area: dalla Spa al ristorante, al bistrot fronte piscina, fino all'ottima colazione vista natura, reso unico da un personale professionale e attento. Location rilassante immersa nella natura.

The hotel facilities were beautiful. A lovely pool, bar, restaurant, nice spa facilities and padel/tennis all made for a fun and relaxing stay. We were offered the spa journey for our honeymoon which was very kind. And breakfast was delicious.

For the price and for the calibre of the hotel, the restaurant Larossa was disappointing. It was actually our worst meal in 3 weeks in Italy! The pasta was too soft, we had only 2 small prawns in a special prawn pasta which cost over 25 euros for example. It was over 120 euros for a cheese antipasti, a bottle of sparkling water, a side and 2 pastas!! Our meal in Capalbio the next evening was far better and half the price - with wine and much more food. No real turn down service, we experienced this at every other top quality hotel on our trip, and our very small room felt basic. No luxurious furnishings, just quite cheap looking. Tries to level with a Soho House style hotel in price but far from it in guest experience. Our aircon didnt work but the staff tried very hard to fix this.
