The view fro mthe hotel is amazing. And very friendly staff. Would come back again!

Loved the balcony

The building is about 150 years old but has all the modern conveniences. The staff who checked us in was very informative and helpful. Our room had a good view of waterfalls and cliffs surrounding the area.

Beautiful view on the Jungfrau from the balcony and friendly employees were the positives for us. However, the room had a musty smell of old fabric, and the carpet was nasty. The grout in the shower had mold on it. When we opened the room, we had to open the window and the balcony door, because the smell was very uncomfortable. With a good renovation, this could be a prime spot, but unfortunately, it felt way overpriced for a room that we did not even want to spend any extra time in besides sleeping.

Beautiful old hotel with great views. The room was comfortable and furnished well. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Restaurant is great. Breakfast was lovely. Appreciate them delivering a banana split to my room. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone. Would stay again.

Loved the view from my balcony, proximity to the train station and Coop. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent! Staff were friendly and helpful.

We had a fabulous short stay here. The hotel is very close to Wengen station and we managed to walk up the hill with our (small) cases without too much bother. Check in was with the lovely Miriem (sorry if I've got that wrong!) who showed us around and gave us plenty of information about the hotel. The room was good (deluxe double with balcony), beds were comfortable with plenty of space. Bathroom was basic but clean. There were lovely little welcome touches, such as a personalised card and biscuits. There's a kettle (hoorah!) and a coffee machine. But the absolute best part was the incredible view, which actually brought us to tears as we were so overwhelmed. We were lucky enough to be in a corner room with two balconies so had morning coffee on one overlooking beautiful chalets and the valley and evening drinks on the other for sundown. We made use of the outdoor swimming pool (6 francs) which is just a few minutes walk away and we had a quick walk through the town which looked very lovely and lively. We'd planned to go for drinks and some live music but were too tired from our excursions to Interlaken so just enjoyed drinks on the hotel terrace instead. We popped to Lauterbrunnen to see the waterfalls as this is only a 10 minute train ride down the mountain. We were also lucky enough to meet the hotel's resident dog, Caramel, who came to give us a friendly welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend this hotel. We will be back!!

The location and grounds wer great. The balcony was ot private witht he rooms next door having access our room if our pation/balcony door was open. The scramled eggs at breakfast were terrible.

Our stay at this hotel was super. We received a warm welcome and our deluxe room was so comfortable and clean with fabulous views from the balconies...yes, there were two. The staff members were all very engaging, happy to assist with any query. The breakfast choices were good. Overall the atmosphere is very relaxing and this beautiful hotel allows guests to unwind surrounded by the spectacular scenery.
