Gulf Gate Hotel

Tell 'y all about this seedy place. Families staying here is simply unbelievable. Run down place. In need of refurb, chip off corners everywhere. Staffs are, how do I put it, little lacking in decorum

Very comfortable rooms and valuable and there is all the facilities in the hotel and the hotel locate in the heart of Bahrain (Bab Albahrain) so it easy to go by walk for shopping.

As the title says good Location but that's about it really. Hotel bar was BD5B (£10) for small beer, really ?? And that’s for a hotel guest staying up stairs ....utter disgrace !!!!! Another thing was the pool was closed for maintenance, really ? as I did not see anyone working on it the 5 days I stayed here. Also why wasn't this mentioned on the web site advising that the pool was not open ? Also don't expect to get much sleep here as the on site club bang loud music out till 4am every night. The rooms are very basic and need renovating and the bathroom is disgusting and my one had leaks ! Hotel has its own cortesan's/working girls but from what I've seen so does every hotel in Bahrain. On a positive note the front desk staff very friendly and the wifi was good and easy to access

The time we entered this hotel , for every thing these guys asked for tip which annoyed us . Their service was too bad .Location was average and not too far from the city center . it's a budget hotel & rooms are poor and bathroom is disgusting .

It is ok for a quick stay when you require a pleasant room to rest

Hard to believe that the sea came up to these gates not 50 years ago! We used to live here then and no wonder my mother was disoriented. A very busy place and well worth visiting as the gate of Bahrain leads into a an array of shops and experiences

The hotel was very good and it was a very special why because they know how to treat the guests with warm welcoming nature that time the hotel was busy but they are tacking care of every one who is coming to the reception

Worst hotel in bahrain I never seen before. Procecutor girls are arounding in lobby and coridoor. This hotel is not suitable for families. Reception staff are always asking money whenever we come from outside. My recommend not to stay this hotel in future anymore.

Hotel staff are very good and atentive, but hotel is looking tired and areas around the hotel look a bit of a mess with building materials and discarded waste. Bars and meal areas were nice though.

The hotel is in good location and staff are helpful and pleasant. The rooms are spacious yet they smell like an ash try. My main concern is the amount of noise I was exposed to during my two night stay. Arab (probably) Saudi male guests were shouting in the corridors and turning loud music in their rooms with open doors until 6am. As a result, I did not sleep all night and almost missed my flight due to exhaustion. I will not be inclined to return to this hotel unless I had no choice. I will not recommend this hotel to my friends who are smell and noise sensitive.
