Quinta Verde Sintra

We stayed 2 nights in this lovely hotel just outside of Sintra. The owners are charming and very helpful, the room was delightful with a lively terrace and the breakfasts were delicious. I would highly recommend this "Quinta" for anyone wanting to stay just outside Sintra! As an avid gardener I really appreciated the very tasteful and lovely planting!

This hotel is more than just your typical hotel. It is a little bit outside of Sintra's main town so can be a bot hard to find at night but we were greeted very warmly by Tina, the manager. She put us up in a really nice two bedroom family suite. The entire place had a feel of a cottage, each with its own outside sitting area. What I loved about this place is that it didn't have a typical hotel feel but felt like a countryside resort. Breakfast was absolutely excellent in a winter garden right by the pool. Gorgeous views from the breakfast area and super friendly service. We were even served fresh homemade lemonade made from lemons plucked from their own property. Delicious!

nice hotel, quiet location little outside Sintra with a beautiful view over Castle de la Pena; we had to change the room twice, first because of some problems with plumbing, then probably because some problems with their planning, but in the end it was ok; if you want wifi in the room make sure you stay in the main house, the second building lacks wireles connection. another thing about the second building was that our room at the ground floor felt humid, being a split level, so we had to turn on the heat.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had. The rooms were very clean, the hotel was located in the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen, and I cannot say enough about the family that runs the hotel. They treated us like family(even drove us to town for dinner one night). They wanted to make sure we had the best time in Sintra and we definitely did! This was an amazing place to stay and I cannot wait to go back someday.

Perfect first night in Portugal after a long overnight flight from the U.S. beautiful gardens and such warm and friendly people. Miguel was very helpful and his restaurant recommendations were perfect for us.

Tina and Eugene are great hosts. The breakfast was excellent. Nice grounds.

We realy loved this place, nice garden with pool, great breakfast and friendly host. Very realxing after visiting Lisbon. Definitely stay again!
