That the guide from the hotel, Joseph (also working as check-in manager), shot photos from us during the boat trip w/o asking and did wether share them with us nor deleting them after several requests.
GBIt is a very remote location near the Nicaraguan border so facilities should be judged in that light. It is run by a charming and hard-working family and staff. They work hard on preserving the ecology and attracting birds and monkeys and producing artisanal chocolate and planting cocoa trees and guests are invited to plant a tree for these purposes. They produce excellent guides for bird and animal watching on the Rio Frio. An excellent stay

The registration people were quite helpful and friendly; they spoke English well. The guides provided on the tours taken were not well trained to interact with groups. Their English language skills were marginal, and their biological explanations were lower in quality than other guides we had used at other sites. The roads leading to this place were washboard-like for hours, making travel challenging. One would really want to see this place to put up with such road conditions.

Staff was great, food was very good, and Jimmy took us on a very enjoyable boat tour pointing out wildlife.
We arrived late and the staff was happy to wait for us to check in-we weren't able to arrive on-time. They also were happy to start breakfast for us TWO HOURS EARLY as we left the hotel at 0600 to go fishing. The staff was VERY friendly and accommodating.
This hotel is ok, is for people wanna see a wildlife and rest. Don't have tv and wifi just around the lobby and bar
