"Back on Top!"

10.0

Coral Lagoon has been a pleasant vacation spot for us for sereral years. Last year we had a terrible experience with a change in owners/handling. There was a very mean old man as the manager that left a very bad opinion and we were sad to see that happen. BUT CL has reversed it's image and it was a wonderful experience this time. YEAH! It is a great place for a family gathering, a fishing trip or just to get away. I would reccommend it.

"close to good fishing"

8.0

Place was great, little confusing making the arrangements and checking in. Never did meet a employee of the place. Found our slip and room with help of other guests, who were very nice. Once we were settled in the trip was memorable and I will go again.

The Coral Lagoon villas were easy to access and close to the activities we were interested in...kayaking, snorkeling, and fishing. Enjoyed our stay.

"nice stay"

8.0

The coral lagoon isn't a hotel ,it's a townhouse. There isn't any maid service, room service or even someone that can check you in at the office. You have to check-in 5 days prior to arrival via email, which my wife and I didn't know. There is a lock box mounted in front of the unit with the keys in it.You receive the combination via email.when we arrived we had no way to get into our room.We called expedia and advised them of our situation and they put us hold for over a half hour before we hung -up and called the coral lagoon directly. They quickly got us the combination for the lock-box .The Coral lagoon is a fairly new resort that is well maintained and very nice .There is a small pool area for the guests and you also access to the Cabana beach club which has a nice pool ,a bar and food. Each unit also has a boat slip.Overall our stay there was very good. The only negatives are that the resort is a non-smoking resort. There is no smoking allowed anywhere on the premises inside or outside. There isn't enough towels ,so you'll have to do some wash while you'll there, and there isn't any maid service or room service or even anyone on the premises that can help you if you have some kind of problem. Also there's no bar or restaurant on the premises either. The only other thing was that the sofa and chairs in the living room were stained and very dirty.

"Great Value - Great Resport"

10.0

I cannot rate the staff because we never encountered any staff. We were given check in information via email and had a lockbox code to get our keys and check in info. That being said the hotel was lovely, the rooms were spacious, comfortable and the communal spaces were gorgeous, well appointed and the deck overlooking the water was great! I would highly recommend this resort, we were six college kids on spring break and we had an amazing time.

"Coral Lagoon Resort Overview"

8.0

I would have given this place a 5 except for a few thing: First, you cannot use the pool on site You can use the Key Colony pool and beach but it is not close enough to walk and there's no parking available so good luck. Also, the beach is so small and the pool and facilities are old! The pool on site is only for the owner and guests. The furniture is filthy, stained and marked up and pretty gross, we sould sit on towels, Lastly, Unit 20, our room, master balcony looked directly across at the master bedroom balcony or the next home, I could have jumped over to it and couldn't see any water from there at all. Only water view is the canal unless you are lucky enough to get a unit #1 thru #6. All in all, nice place, pretty clean but pretty pricey for not having an on-site pool. If you have a boat and a family, I would suggest it. If you don't have a boat, I would say you can spend your money better at other places. Been going to the Keys since mid 80's and there are lots of good hotels there to stay at but if you are looking for a full, private house, that can sleep 6 peeps comforatbly and you need a boat dock, this is a very nice place.

"Very little to offer"

4.0

There is very little to do here. Can't use the pool as it is reserved for people who own here. A little confusing as there are multiple management companies renting here.

"Coral Lagoon Resort"

10.0

Recently took my family for a weekend in the keys. Something we've been talking about for a while and had the pleasure of staying at coral lagoon. If your looking for the key west experience without being in the lowest key or the expense of it coral lagoon is perfect. There are many activities and necessities within a five or ten minute drive including water sports, grocery store and main stores. The resort was beautiful and quiet. The town homes are decorated just as beautiful as the exterior is manicured. Plenty of room for larger size families. We are already planning our next trip and look forward to staying here again. In addition have spoken to several friends who are looking forward to accompaning us.
