Pawanthorn Luxury Pool Villa Samui

On the outskirts of Chaweng Beach (3 mins by Scooter). This accommodation was perfect for my wife and I on our honeymoon. We had a private pool villa which was nothing short of perfect. There isn't really a beach to swim at out the front as it's mostly rocky. But if you want to swim at the beach go somewhere else. This place better suites people who want to be in a contained accommodation. Private pools, just far enough away to be quiet, without being too far away. The only con would be that there is no restaurant. However, there is an amazing Thai restaurant next door at the neighboring hotel (1 min walk). Breakfast wasn't amazing, but it was nice to have juice, coffee and a mix between English and Asian buffet breakfast. We'd definitely consider coming back with several families and booking out some of the larger villas.

As hotels.com never published them anyway. Am I right?

We enjoyed our stay but being in the smaller villas (P2 and P3) we found there was no deck chairs in the garden. There is a bench to sit on at the end of the pool but as it has a plastic roof it was too hot to site under it when the sun is beating down. There are 4 communal loungers near to P7 but they are to be shared between the 7 P villas. Also P2 had that many creatures in it that it was like a zoo! Gecko's, spiders to name but a few. The staff were very nice and breakfast was ok. Need transport if staying here, as it is a bit out of the way. The 3 bedroomed villas are amazing but expensive.

Beautiful Villas, gardens well kept, very clean well presented. It's a shame there is no bar, room service, or restaurant facilities but if/when they have these it will be fantastic. Because there is nowhere to eat except the breakfast you must travel out of the hotel to get supplies or eat out which costs 300 baht each way by taxi. The staff are happy to arrange taxis or hire a bike/scooter or car as well. We had pizza delivered a couple of times. We stayed 7 nights and the staff were very friendly and did their best to help when we needed it. The breakfast was good, eggs cooked by staff however you like them, and then you can cook your own toast to go with them, salad, yogurt, fresh fruit, and cereal. There is a lovely view from the gardens and it was nice to sit and listen to the ocean. The private pool was a nice size and had a good balance of shade and sunlight. The stairs and walkways that lead to the villas are pretty steep so wouldn't be suitable for elderly or guests who are unsteady on their feet, we didn't have any issues with it though. The wifi was down in our room one of the days and tv had had bad reception but we just bought movies from the markets when we were staying in, and used the wifi near the office. I would highly recommend for a romantic getaway, if you are looking to relax and unwind.

Very few staff around which made challenges when trying to resolve issues. Electricity to only our villa, issues daily, resolved at each time. However on last night as could not resolve moved us into tiny dirty room!! No one to communicate with to describe our disappointment, let alone the money paid to stay there. It is a beautiful location, lovely private villas, just needs a communication liaison person. Breakfast upgrade and I'm sure could be a pleasant stay.

Very nice hotel. Sold on the fact we had a pool. Although very friendly, the lady who was our host always messed up our orders for the contentment breakfast, daily. That included giving me chicken one day and bacon the other after I explicitly told her I was a vegetarian. Great hotel and service, but it'd be good to know Thai if you want to get what you asked for.

We stayed as a couple at one of the 7 pool villas and loved it! Both the room and the pool attached to our villa were surprisingly large and clean. Very nice. The location was also fantastic - away from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng Beach to be peaceful and secluded, yet only a short ride away by taxi or songathew. We rented a small vehicle during our stay and the arrangements were all made by the hotel which was extremely convenient and made us feel secure. The staff at the villa were also wonderful - very friendly, polite, and helpful. We took a day trip to the Marine Park and because we were leaving before the time breakfast was served, the staff actually packed sandwiches and fruit for us to bring with us. Superb experience and we'd definitely stay here again the next time we're in Samui!
