The lady at front desk was so nice and friendly. She helped modify our booking since I made an error of one person and yu get a very small bed. Y wife and I appreciated her help changing the reservation and added a night. She only charged a few Euros more. She recommended the best restaurants and would stay again. Surely the lowest cost hotel of our three month holiday. Much different than big cities like Madrid, Casablanca and Lisbon. Thanks.

The hotel is located so that you can walk to the restaurant and shopping areas. It is also easy to access all the amazing Roman ruins. The best I have seen in my travels. Pay to visit all with your first ticket. The hotel has some communal areas for relaxing and getting a coffee or tea. The hotel does not have breakfast but it is a short walk to a cafe. The reception staff were excellent.

It seems the hotel has been refurbished but it lacks the basics of modern comfort - hot water (in a few instances) and Internet very unreliable, practically unusable. The room was very small with poor shower drain as well.

The Hotel was very clean, peaceful, staff helpful with directions and taxi.

OK... This hotel has spent a lot of dollars on upgrading to an ultra modern hotel. Staff was great, location was great, quiet, clean the marble stair treads with red LED backlighting looked fantastic. BUT...the shower controls were so hi tec I couldn’t change the water temp. A staff member came to my room and fixed it but it took him 5 minutes or so to fix it. The lights in the hall are motion controlled, but I would have to walk 1/3 of the way down a dark hall way before they would come on. I couldn’t get an internet connection in my room. Staff said it was my iPhone 6 but I saw them changing the relay antenna in the hall the day I checked out. Go figure. I finally walked down to the ‘common’ to to connect to the internet. A vending machine there had caned beer for 1.5 euros. I selected one and the machine went through an elaborate process to dispense it. When I got it, I opened it and it sprayed all over the room from being shook up! They have a ‘cafeteria’ room with an adjacent preparation room. The preparation room had some coffee packets you could buy for ,50 euro but no refrigerator, no nothing but a toaster oven and a microwave. I guess one was suppose to order a delivery meal. I never saw anyone in either room. That said, the hotel is in a great location to walk to all the marvelous Roman Ruins in Merida. The Vettonia has great potential but the need to get the bugs worked out of the advanced technical features they have installed.

Good enough for a short stay,pleasant staff,decent location.
